I get SO many questions asking about email management; so in today’s post, I tried to break it down into baby-steps to give you a clear picture of what I do each time I check my email — and how these specific steps help me take control of my Inbox.
If you’re struggling with email overload, this post is for you!
The Triple-Chocolate Bundt Cake recipe I posted over 2 years ago is STILL one of our favorite desserts. We actually loved the recipe so much that I began experimenting with different ingredients — and came up with a general “recipe” that you can customize to your family’s taste.
This recipe actually starts with a boxed cake mix — but tastes like it’s made from scratch. It’s so easy that anyone can make this delicious bundt cake!
About 18 months ago, I posted pictures of our soon-to-be-baby’s closet… and all the cute baby girl clothes inside. It was neat, organized, and everything was in its place — obviously, because there was no person to wear the clothing or mess anything up yet!
Well, fast-forward a little over a year and although it’s not quite as organized, we still have a pretty good system for storing and organizing Nora’s clothes.
I’m always an advocate for borrowing something versus buying something whenever possible. Not only do we save money by borrowing, we also save so much space in our home by not storing things we don’t need on a regular basis. The only issue is that I then need to remember to return the items!
Today, I’m sharing a few tips that help me remember to return.
Cute baby alert — Nora is 15 months old today so even though I’m not doing monthly photos anymore, I decided to share some of my favorite pictures from the past 3 months!
One of my favorite “sweet treat” recipes on my blog is the recipe for Easy Layer Bars.
However, the other day I was all out of graham crackers for the crust, so on a whim, I substituted chocolate WhoNu? cookies. The results were so delicious, and I’m sharing the simple recipe today!
I actually don’t mind cleaning — if there’s nothing better to do. However, since my days are often jam-packed, the cleaning “routine” that works best for me might actually surprise you!
Today, I’m sharing my thoughts on our “not-so-routine” cleaning routine.
There are many situations where someone else might need to step in and run your home, pay your bills, care for your children, or manage your life… and if your home is out of control and completely unorganized, there’s a good chance the people who are trying to help won’t be able to.
Today I’m sharing my own thoughts, as well as a poignant story from a reader, that will hopefully encourage and motivate you to be a little more diligent with your organizing efforts.
Last weekend, Dave, Nora, and I went up north for a long weekend with friends. There were 30 people total — and for some reason, I offered to create a meal plan and make the majority of the food! It was quite a bit more work than I originally thought it would be, but everything turned out well, the food tasted great, and we had SO much fun!
Today, I’m sharing a few pictures from our trip as well as a bunch of tips and recipe ideas for feeding a crowd!
I realize it’s currently the middle of February, and not anywhere close to the “New Year”… however, it’s a known fact that many New Year’s goals start to fade away after only 6-8 weeks. And since we’re just over 6 weeks into the New Year, I’m excited to tell you a little more about the very cool NeuYear Calendar.
I’m giving away 10 calendars today… plus 50% off for everyone else!
Since today is Valentine’s Day, I thought it would be fitting to share how I organize our Memory Boxes — yes, believe it or not, we DO have 2 Memory Boxes!
Want to see what we keep in our Memory Boxes? Keep reading…
Growing up, I was always involved in as many extra-curricular activities as possible (big surprise, huh!)
While I totally understand that there is only so much one child or one family can be involved in, I also think there are 3 important reasons all kids should be involved in a few extra-curricular activities (at least based on my own experiences).
When we decided to renovate our kitchen this past summer, one of my goals for the renovation was to somehow incorporate at least a few things from the old kitchen into the new design.
Today I’m sharing two small ways we left a little history in our “new old kitchen”!
I’ve always been a big fan of lists. Surprise, surprise! I just love having that visual reminder of what I need to do next.
Because I love lists so much, I actually have 2 lists going at the same time — a Master List and a Daily List. Today, I’m talking about why I keep 2 lists going and how these lists work together to help me get more done!
Last weekend, I roasted a whole turkey for my Dad’s birthday celebration. However, I was also able to put LOTS of shredded turkey and lots of yummy homemade broth in the freezer for future meals.
Today, I’m sharing how I saved at least $12.00 (probably lots more) by making the most out of our whole turkey!
I’m excited to share yet another fabulous giveaway from Glamourmom.com — a company that specializes in high-quality, “glamorous” nursing and maternity apparel for every size and shape.
Today, I’m giving away their brand new Starter Nursing Bra!
This topic has been on my mind for well over a year — since just before Nora was born. And now, almost 15 months later, I’ll be the first to admit that I grossly underestimated how difficult it would be to manage home, work, family, and life.
So can working parents ‘have it all’? Click through to read my thoughts!
I’m frequently asked if I would share what a day in my life looks like… if there are certain things I do at the same times every day, schedules I stick to, productivity secrets to share, or any tips for how I balance work, home, family, and life.
Our daily lives are far from perfect. But since I preach “progress, not perfection” I’m sharing our perfectly imperfect ways with you today!
