As I’ve done in previous years, I’ll be taking the full week off between Christmas and New Years to enjoy time at home with family and friends. However, I couldn’t leave for a week without sharing our 2014 Christmas card with you! Oh, and make sure you read all the way to the end of the post for a fun surprise 🙂
Recently, Nora and I made homemade gak for a couple of her cousins (and some to keep at our house). It was super easy, super cheap, and has provided hours upon hours of entertainment for Nora!
If you’re looking for a last-minute child’s gift idea, or just something to do over Christmas break, I would highly encourage you to try out this simple gak recipe!
I know many of you will be setting some type of goal or resolution over the next 2 weeks — yes, I’ll be right there with you. I love setting goals, planning for the future, and thinking about what might happen over the next year. However, I don’t just reserve this activity for the end of December.
Keep reading to learn why!
Many of you might be surprised to know that over the last year, I have canceled every single one of my magazine subscriptions (even the free ones) and I don’t plan to subscribe to anything else in the near future.
I’m sharing 9 reasons why in today’s post!
Over and over again, I’ve been asked what family traditions we take part in over the holiday season. Over and over again, I’ve felt slightly ashamed when I explain that we really didn’t do any traditions this year.
No, I’m not the Grinch — I actually love the holidays. However, I refuse to let a “but we’ve always done it that way” get in the way of me and my family enjoying this time of year.
Over the years, I’m sure the number of times I’ve said “that’s good enough” is astounding. I catch myself saying it ALL THE TIME — and honestly, I’m not sure that’s such a bad thing.
Today I’m sharing why “good enough” is good enough for me!
If you’re looking for an ultra-simple, no-bake, last-minute appetizer to take to an upcoming holiday party (or really any gathering throughout the year) I would highly recommend this “recipe”.
You won’t disapoint anyone’s taste buds and, better yet, you won’t spend all day in the kitchen!
Guess what friends? Today, you get to read a guest post from one of my all-time favorite people… Dave!
I think what he has to say will be encouraging to SOOOOO many of you stay-at-home and work-at-home parents who sometimes feel like you have little to nothing to show for yourself at the end of the day — besides stained clothing and a pile of dirty dishes in the sink.
We’re just weeks away from another new year — a fresh start, a new beginning. And while I definitely don’t want to rush through the holiday season, I can’t help but be excited to flip over my calendar on January 1.
If you share my enthusiasm, yet feel like you’ve been struggling to “really live” your best and most fulfilling life, today’s post might be just what you need to get excited about another new year.
I’ve said it before and I’ll continue to say it over and over again — automating our savings and our investments has been one of the most important reasons we’ve been able to stick with our lofty savings and investment goals for the past 8+ years.
As we approach another new year with new goals, I’d encourage you to set up a monthly auto-deposit into a specific savings or investment account that you are committed not to touch for a while.
I’ve gotten several questions asking what we’re giving Nora and Simon for Christmas — as well as requests for holiday gift suggestions for children, teens, adults, etc.
So today, I’m sharing what we’re giving our kiddos, and some of my favorite gift ideas for kids 2-6 years old!
Maybe it’s the fact that the holiday season is crazy busy, or that Simon is the 2nd child, or that the months are going by SOOO fast — but I honestly almost forgot about today’s 9 month post!
It wasn’t until just a couple days ago that I remembered (while in the shower, of course) that… DUH, my little boy is 9 months old on December 4th.
Since it’s almost that time of year, I’m sharing my new planner today — and offering a couple great giveaways from Personal-Planner.com!!
If you’re looking for a super simple, last-minute appetizer idea to bring to a holiday party — or just a really quick side dish for dinner tonight, this recipe should satisfy!
