Before & After
Both Nora and Simon’s bedrooms are upstairs — right off the playroom. We keep most of the toys in the playroom, but it’s nice to be able spread out into their bedrooms for more playtime fun.
Dave and I both thought it would be nice to create more floor space in their bedrooms… and thanks to an hour of moving furniture around (and out of) their rooms, we now have LOTS of extra room to play!
Last week, I shared our COMPLETELY FREE master bedroom mini makeover and this week, I’m sharing James’ mini nursery makeover.
Just like our bedroom makeover, it was also completely free, and it made his tiny room feel SO much bigger!
Dave recently helped me move almost ALL the bedroom furniture in our entire house… which means all 4 bedrooms got a mini makeover without spending a dime!
Today, I’m so excited to share our (completely free) Master Bedroom Mini Makeover!
After 3 years of hard work, our landscaping is 95% complete!
We still have a few projects to tackle yet this fall or next spring — but I’m excited to finally be able to share a bunch of before and after photos on the blog!
It’s been over 3 years since I last shared any update on our home office renovations… and we’ve made a fair amount of changes over those 3 years. So, I figured it was time for another Home Office Tour.
I can’t wait for you to see the transformation!!
Over the years, SO many of you have asked for a full tour of our farmhouse — so since we’re well over half way through renovating our house and yard, I thought now would be a good time to give you a tour!
Welcome to our farmhouse… established: 1890.
The mudroom is officially finished and we couldn’t be happier! We have plenty of storage for all our seasonal gear and lots of room to grow.
Come take the full tour!
I’m SOOOOO excited to share today’s post with you — probably even more excited than I was to share the giveaways these past two days!
That’s right friends, it’s time for another Farmhouse Nursery Tour — baby boy style!
After months of dragging my heals, I finally finished Nora’s new bedroom upstairs!
And even though we’re still waiting for Nora to warm up to the idea of sleeping in her new room, I’m thrilled that MY part of the process is finished and I can finally share the “after” pictures with you.
When we first purchased our home, one of the areas I was most excited about was the large landing area at the top of the stairs. And since we’re in the process of renovating Nora’s new “big-girl bedroom” upstairs, we decided that it was also a good time to transform this landing area into the playroom we envisioned when we first moved in.
After a little paint, carpeting, and a bunch of toys, this is what we ended up with!
Over the past few years, I’ve been on a mission to use and store less paper.
So I’m supper happy to announce that we recently switched from a MASSIVE 4 drawer, big, bulky filing cabinet to a much smaller, shallower, 2-drawer filing cabinet… with room to spare!
Over the years, I’ve learned a lot about painting — specifically painting and distressing furniture to give it a whole new look.
However, I realize painting and distressing isn’t for everyone… so today, I’m sharing one of the all-time most simple ways I’ve come across to breathe a little new life into old, grungy wood furniture!
We’ve been finished with yard work for the summer for several weeks already — but I’ve had a difficult time trying to accurately photograph the “after” pictures. It’s so hard when the plants and trees are still small!
I’m sure I’ll be sharing more pictures next summer — but for now, I’m excited to share our official 2013 landscaping before and after shots!
After showing pictures of our new garage makeover last week, I got an insane number of questions about the garage floor coating. I totally understand why — Dave and I are thrilled with the results. So I decided to send your questions directly to the Monkey Bar expert.
Today’s post has their answers mixed with my comments and photos — and seriously, this floor is amazing!
Last week, I shared how we were able to fully transform our garage from drab to fab in about a week… and I don’t think I need to convince anyone how much we love our new space.
Today, I’m sharing the final pictures of ALL our stuff organized with the new Monkey Bars system. Let’s just say that even I was impressed with how much stuff we could fit in such a small space!
A few months after Nora was born, I was given the highchair my great-grandma used as a baby. I didn’t want to use it as Nora’s actual highchair, but I had a few ideas for what I could do with the chair, so I hung onto it.
Then, a couple weeks ago, I brought the chair up from the basement and decided it was time to transform it into a useable, functional piece of furniture for our home — what a transformation it was!
A few weeks ago, I posed the question, “How should I decorate my living room wall?”
I was super excited and inspired by all the feedback I received — and after a couple weeks of thinking, I came up with an idea that looks fabulous. Come take a look and let me know what you think!
I’ve been waiting SO long to share our kitchen before and after pictures with you — and I know you’ve been patiently waiting for the after pictures as well.
Last week, our butcher block island counter arrived — which was the last thing we were waiting for. So the kitchen is officially finished! Come take a look!
