Easy. Homemade. eBook Giveaway {100 winners!}

posted by Andrea | 08/16/2012

Remember my list of “favorite blogs” that I shared with you yesterday? Well, my friend Mandi’s blog, Life… Your Way, is on that list for SO many reasons!

Mandi has been an inspiration to me over the past 2 years, and she’s actually one of the main reasons I entered the crazy Virtual Assistant world {thanks Mandi!}.

She has a million and one fabulous ideas on how to simplify and organize life… and today, she’s sharing her new eBook: Easy. Homemade – oh, and she’s giving away 100 copies!

I’ve read the eBook, and can attest that all the recipes are EASY! Even if you aren’t an experienced chef, you’ll be able to find a handful of recipes you can make for yourself, your family, and your guests.

The following is a guest post from Mandi of Life.YourWay.net

This week I’m excited to release my brand new ebook, Easy Homemade: Homemade Pantry Staples for the Busy Modern Family, which is on sale for just $0.99!

If you’ve been a reader here at Simple Organized Living for very long, you know that Andrea is a great couponer who keeps a healthy stockpile of kitchen staples as well as an everyday chef who cooks often for her family using basic ingredients.

Many of Andrea’s recipes start with a box mix, which she then whips into a simple, yet gourmet-like meal or dessert in just a few minutes!

Our family is currently trying to make more of our food from scratch rather than from a box, and it can be overwhelming to think of giving up the convenience that each of those boxes offer! But one thing I have to constantly remind myself is that homemade does not have to mean gourmet.

Although our family has eliminated most box mixes, many of our recipes probably look a lot like Andrea’s: simple, everyday food. We don’t eat a lot of fancy dishes or prepare meals with gourmet ingredients, and we’re still not spending hours in the kitchen.

Cooking from scratch doesn’t mean you have to change the types of foods your family is eating or start using ingredients that require a French accent to properly pronounce.

It also doesn’t mean you have to slave away over each meal.

It just means understanding the ingredients that go into the kitchen staples you’re already using so you can make them yourself.

For example, I mix the dry ingredients for pancake mix ahead of time, so making pancakes is still as quick as using a box of Bisquick, but without any questionable ingredients or preservatives.

You can do the same thing with brownie mixes, cake mixes, bread/muffin mixes, and even packaged spice and dressing mixes — some of which I’ll show you in my eBook!

I think it’s the over-achiever in each of us that makes us think homemade food needs to include a long list of ingredients and complicated techniques, when truly, homemade can be simple and easy!

If you share my (and Andrea’s) desire to keep your time in the kitchen as simple as possible, you will be happy to discover more than 60 recipes for SIMPLE homemade kitchen staples in my new eBook: Easy Homemade, which is available for your Kindle, Nook or a full-color PDF to read on your computer for just $0.99 this week only!

PLUS, the first 100 readers to use coupon code LIVING100 will get a FREE PDF copy of the ebook. But even if you miss that code, you can pick up your copy – including several great bonuses – for just $0.99!
