Pumpkin Pie Delight Dessert
posted by Andrea | 11/22/2011 | commentIt’s Thanksgiving week — which means my mouth is already starting to water for the huge Thanksgiving dinner we’ll be having on Thursday afternoon. I’m bringing a delicious sweet potato casserole to our gathering at Dave’s parent’s house; but since I’m in love with all things “pumpkin”, I just couldn’t resist making one more pumpkin dessert!
If you’re still looking for a really simple Thanksgiving dessert idea — I might just have the one for you!
Cream Cheese Pumpkin Pie
posted by Andrea | 10/26/2011 | 5 commentsEvery year, I like to try out a new version of the traditional pumpkin pie.
Last year I tried {with much success} Apple Butter Pumpkin Pie and this year, when I couldn’t make up my mind if I wanted to make cheese cake or pumpkin pie, I decided to make a Cream Cheese Pumpkin Pie.
It is so delicious and has quickly become my all-time favorite pumpkin pie!
Triple-Layer Taco Pie
posted by Andrea | 05/4/2011 | 4 commentsTomorrow is May 5 — Cinco de Mayo — but that’s not the main reason for this post. The main reason is because I found yet another simple, delicious, and inexpensive Mexican meal that I’m pretty sure your entire family will love. And as with nearly all of my recipes, you can feel free to substitute and swap out ingredients to fit your family’s preferences…or just whatever you have in the house. I’ve listed a bunch of substitution options in [...]

I made two Apple Butter Pumpkin Pies for Thanksgiving, and since then, I’ve made this recipe FIVE more times! I did alter it a bit to make it “my [...]
Old Fashion Chicken Pot Pie
posted by Andrea | 10/29/2010 | 11 commentsChicken Pot Pie is one of my all-time favorite comfort foods {kind of like chicken soup I suppose} and if you’ve never eaten pot pie made from scratch, you are really missing out! REALLY. This is one of those meals that doesn’t require any side dishes {hallelujah}. The meat, potatoes, and veggies are all there, inside a flaky pie crust. You can also forget the crust, put biscuits on top and serve it as a chicken stew. Either way, it’s a [...]
Bumbleberry Pie
posted by Andrea | 09/23/2010 | 2 commentsBumbleberry pie is one of my favorite pies to make; especially this time of year after I’ve picked and frozen all sorts of delicious fruits throughout the Spring, Summer and Fall. Now, if you don’t know what a Bumbleberry is…don’t feel too bad. It’s actually a made-up word to describe a random mix of berries {ones you might “bumble” upon}. The best part about making delicious Bumbleberry mixtures is that you can use whatever berries or fruit you have on hand [...]
Mini Fruit Pies
posted by Andrea | 07/17/2010 | 27 commentsI love pie. I love eating pie, I love making pie, I love nearly all vartities of pie! The only problem with pie is that the crust always seems to get soggy before we can eat it all — there are just 2 of us you know. So today — as I was contemplating whether or not I should make a pie (and knowing that my husband would definitly want me to make a pie) — I decided to try [...]
