Welcome to Create! Make! Do! — the free 7-day stay-at-home activity bundle for kids!
I can’t wait to help you and your family make lasting memories together AT HOME!
I’m Andrea Dekker — a work-from-home mother of 4 young children (ages 2-8), and I know how crazy and chaotic life can feel when the schedule changes and your children are home all day again.
With the recent mass-school closings in the US, and instructions from health professionals to STAY HOME, many children and families will be “stuck” at home for 3 or 4 weeks!
YIKES!
If you’re scrambling for ideas to fill all this extra time at home, you’ve come to the right place!
Over the next 7 days, I’m excited to share a handful of really simple, practical, frugal ideas to help you CREATE! MAKE! & DO! at home with your children!
These are projects, crafts, recipes, and activities our family has enjoyed over the years — and I promise, they aren’t too much work for the adults!
Our family loves being home… some of you can relate. However, I know others might feel a little stir-crazy and be ready to get out of the house.
Whatever the case, I’m confident that with the right attitude and a “game plan” for your time together, the memories you make at home with your family these next few weeks will be remembered for years to come!
What you can expect:
For the next 7 days, you’ll get one email from me every evening (probably right around the time you put your kids to bed) with the following goodies:
- 1 simple, not-too-messy project to CREATE!
- 1 simple, kid-approved recipe they can actually help you MAKE!
- 1 simple, family-friendly activity to DO! together
- 1 bonus article about a related simple-living topic
I’ve purposely chosen to send these emails in the evening so you have a little time to think through the projects and recipes and make your plan for the next day.
I’ve geared the CREATE! MAKE! DO! program specifically for children 10 and under, but many of the projects are fitting for older children as well.
BONUS RESOURCES:
I’m sure you’re anxiously anticipating your first email tomorrow night!
In the meantime, here are a few resources to give you a little jump-start on planning your time at home over the next couple of weeks.
CREATE! :: I don’t have a craft project for you today… but I do have a really simple, really creative tip if you’re tired of hearing your kids complain about being “bored”.
MAKE! :: this Kid-Friendly Charcuterie Board is a really just a fancy-ish way of saying “our kids’ most favorite meal/snack ever”. If your children are anything like mine, they will have so much fun helping to make up this fun lunch (or dinner or snack) and it’s a great way to clean out the fridge too! Plus, NO cooking required!
DO! :: Just start reading! Our children love reading and being read to. Here are a few creative ways we’ve intentionally made more time to read with our children.
That’s it for today.
If you’re new here and want a bit more information about me, my family, and my simple-living journey, you’ll find that here!
Otherwise, check your email tomorrow night and get ready for a fun-filled week of creating, making, and doing with your children!
