I LOVE having a designated home office… and a nice big work surface to spread out on when I need to. However, I haven’t always had that luxury.
There were times when I used a corner of our living room, an extra bedroom, and even the kitchen table — but no matter where I worked, I always kept it neat and organized, because that’s how I work best.
If you share my love for neat and organized work spaces, you will love today’s giveaway from OfficeMax.
OfficeMax wants to help you achieve a more stylish workspace with a fresh new line of DiVOGA office accessories. Both the contemporary White Quilted Collection and the sophisticated Brown Croc Collection offer a variety of items to choose from, including desktop organizers, magazine files, pencil cups, business card holders and more. Organization will be a breeze.
However, since I couldn’t choose which of the desk organizers I like most, we decided to include ALL seven of the items you see in the picture below 🙂
The Giveaway:
Today, one lucky Simple Organized Living reader will win a full set of DiVOGA desk essentials
The set includes one of each of the following products in either the white quilted pattern OR the brown croc pattern:
- Book Organizer
- Magazine File
- Pencil Cup
- Business Card Holder
- Letter Tray
- Note Holder
- Compartment Tray

My ipad, as it keeps me from having hundreds of sticky notes and notebooks cluttering my desk. However, trying to stay paper-free in an office is impossible, so this would still greatly help.

Andrea, I just starting reading your blog yesterday! In fact, your blog is the first I’ve ever favorited. The first article I saw was your “oil cleansing” homemade facewash, and I immediately scooted myself over to walmart to make some!
Anyway, I wanted to share with you one of my favorite office organization tools.
I keep a filebox below/to the side of my desk. In the box, I have 12 folders that are labeled with each month and the number “1,” representing the first of each month. Behind those, I keep folders labeled 2-31. The only items that get filed into these first 31 folders are uncommon/infrequent events, such as weddings, getaways, etc.
Behind these folders, I keep 10 folders labeled “P-A” through “P-J.” These represent Project A-J. For any events that require multiple steps, like remodeling a room in the house, ALL of the information required to plan and implement this project is kept in its own folder.
Behind those, I keep 10 Reference folders, labeled “R-1” through “R-10,” and these are used for brochures, billing statements, etc.
Finally, my last folder is my “Someday” folder. Being a college student, I find many things that inspire me that are difficult for me to achieve at my current age or in my current state. For example, I’ve put in a brochure for sunset skydiving in New Zealand!
This is my favorite organizational tool because it keeps my calendar clutter-free and it keeps me from having to remember petty things.
Just remember to check the files frequently (a couple of times a week).
Your new happy blog reader,
Patrick Revallo 🙂
