UPDATE: This giveaway is now closed.
I’ve talked about Laundry Tree’s SoapNuts many times on my blog, on Facebook, on Twitter, etc. — but that’s because I’ve been using SoapNuts for over a year now… and I REALLY love them!
Here are just a few of the things I love about SoapNuts:
- They are 100% natural and organically grown
- They are non-allergenic
- They are antimicrobial
- They are compatible with HE machines, front-loading machines, and traditional machines
- They are harvested in a sustainable way
- They are much better for the environment than traditional detergents
- They are SUPER simple to use and take up way less space than bottles of detergent and fabric softener
SoapNuts are great for anyone — but especially wonderful for babies, anyone with sensitive skin or allergies, anyone with a small laundry room, or anyone who simply cares about the environment!
(my latest shipment of SoapNuts just arrived in the mail last week!)
Oh, and in case you’re wondering what in the world “SoapNuts” are or how you would use them — you can find all that information here.

I used to make my own laundry detergent. When we bought our house this past summer, the water composition (high chlorine and something else I can’t seem to remember!) meant that our clothes came out dingy and smelling like I’d washed them in cat poop – seriously. The clothes smelled like poop! I had to go back to traditional detergent while I’ve been trying to concoct a new recipe that works better; I’m not having much success! This would be one way to get away from those traditional detergents again!
