Congrats to Tabby: tabbyrb3@… I will email you today to get your shipping information!
I am so excited about this weeks “Weekend Giveaway” because it has helped me clear the clutter from one area I have often struggled to keep organized…
Our batteries!
I know that might sound crazy, but for some reason, I never settled on a great system for storing or organizing all the different types of batteries we have — and then keeping the rechargeable ones charged, the non-rechargeable ones easily accessible, etc. etc. Some were in the kitchen, some in the basement, some in the office… and then we could never find the charger when we needed it!
However, I was recently given an opportunity to write an article for Energizer — and along with that, I was able to test out a bunch of great Energizer products, including their new Universal Charging Station and a bunch of Energizer Rechargeable batteries.
Why I love Energizer’s System:
The Energizer Universal Charger is so compact and portable — yet it’s still able to charge up to 8 batteries at a time, AND it charges AAA, AA, C, D, and 9V batteries so you don’t need a separate charger for each type!
And even though everything I’ve mentioned so far is wonderful — my FAVORITE features of the Energizer Universal Charger is the easy-to-read LED charge status indicator {located on the top cover} that quickly shows you which batteries are fully charged and how much longer the other batteries have until they are charged. This means I don’t have to try to remember how long the batteries have been charging or guess if they are fully charged or not!
Thanks to the Energizer Universal Charger, we have switched all our batteries over to Energizer Rechargeable Batteries and I keep them in a clear plastic bin in our office with the Universal Charger on top of that box. Our batteries are neat, organized, all in one place, and I never have to look for the “right charger”!
The Giveaway:
Energizer has a lovely “gift basket” for one lucky Simple Organized Living reader.
The gift basket includes:
- One Universal Charger
- One 4-pack of AAA rechargeable batteries
- One 4-pack of AA rechargeable batteries
- One 2-pack of C rechargeable batteries

Having four children means that in our home, batteries that actually work are a precious commodity and are always in demand. In our small corner of the world, the blisteringly hot summers mean power cuts are a frequent event. It would be handy to have fully recharged batteries at the flick of a switch. I’d be prepared for anything!
Mandy says
I would actually be able to have my kids games work that use batteries b/c I could recharge them!
Hannah says
In our home, batteries are always needed… Toys, voice recorder, guitar tuner, and more
Rachel says
I would love to win because I too have problems organizing my batteries. I never know where to keep them, or if the ones I find just laying around are any good. This would be wonderful.
I also posted about this giveaway on facebook.

I hate that we go through so many batteries with my kids’ toys, but I haven’t found any rechargable ones that hold a charge for long.
Jennifer says
It would cut my cost down of buying batteries. My family uses them in just about everything. I would not have to run to the store just to get double A’s so my sons could play their video games. It will come in handy to keep all the batteries in just one place ours are thrown in too many drawers not even sure if they are still working.
Becky says
I would benefit by not having to run to the dollar store for random batteries!

Three boys – we never have enough batteries!
Melissa says
We always seem to run out of batteries — even now I’m short on both AA and AAA. This rechargeable unit and batteries would mean I’d never be short on them again!
Lisa says
I do have just one place to put my batteries, but inside that shoe box is a mess! Perhaps this would help my organize.
Elizabeth says
Would love this because I strive for efficiency and organization and this fits both!

I am one of the Directors of a company that just bought an old school in central Michgian. We are re-doing/re-purposing the upstairs for residences and the downstairs for small businesses and a community center. So far we have gone thru about a couple of dozen batteries and having rechargeable Engergizers would make our lives and our project more organized…not to mention the fact that based on what we are doing now it would save us money. Your info and a link to this post has been posted on our Add Ventures Inc FaceBook

This would be fantastic…we have looked at switching to rechargables and have always fallen for the throw aways. Thanks for the giveaway chance.
Lona says
This would benefit me by relieving the angst I feel when using non-rechargable batteries. I hate having to find appropriate ways to dispose of them, and I hate having several different types of batteries (both rechargable and non-recharable) and none of them will play nicely with each other, leaving orphan batteries to go unused.
Aubreylaine says
I would benefit because I have so many electronics and this would be helpful!

We have a drawer that is full of batteries and they are just in there randomly. I never know what I have or don’t have. This would be great.
Leigh S. says
I would benefit from wining this because this is better for the earth. The batteries that are not rechargeable are not recyclable..
KaySue says
This would be a wonderful addition to the few rechargeable batteries we already have. Between trail cameras and Wii remotes, we use a lot of batteries.
Erin says
With 2 kids (4yr old and 2 yr old) we have so many toys that once the battery runs out I don’t typically replace them since it costs too much to keep doing that. I’d love to win some rechargeables!
Janis says
We prefer to use rechargeable batteries, so this gift basket would be great for our household. I have a charger for AA batteries, since this one is for all sizes, it would be a great upgrade.

I need this because we go through a lot of batteries and I’d love to stop buying and wasting so many.

I would LOVE rechargeable batteries. With little ones in the house so many of their items require batteries. I haven’t looked at rechargeable ones because I didn’t think I could charge enough of them to stay a head of the game. I Love this charging station and think it would be awsome in our house (and only take up one outlet) 😉
Dee says
It would be great to have a charger that did several at once of different sizes – great idea!
Becca says
Batteries…it’s almost a dirty word around my house…they can be such a pain! To have a whole new rechargeable set would be awesome!
annie says
I am also a mother if 4. With games, controllers cameras, flashlights and many other things that requires batteries. This would be amazingly beneficial to our family. thanks
Pam says
It would unclutter my drawer that has all my 1/2 full, full and empty battery packages, hopefully making them easier to find!
Layne says
I’m a mom of four. Isn’t that reason enough to describe how beneficial this would be for me?
Teresa Fernandez says
This is so handy with a son who burns through the batteries using his xbox remote… Happy Friday! (=
Jennifer says
You will find your battery usage will only increase with kids! With a two year old and one on the way any moment, I could definitely use this.
Tammy says
I swear sometimes you must have a camera in my house! We had an island in our previous kitchen where I had a drawer for batteries, lint roller, etc. In our new kitchen there is not enough space for this, so our batteries currently reside in a basket where I keep travel brochures and info. On top of that, we have been transitioning to using only rechargeables but simply don’t have enough yet. This giveaway would cross a project off my to do list in one sweep!
christy says
How could I not benefit from this??? I always need batteries and they cost so much. Rechargeable ones would be amazing!

I know I would benefit from this giveaway. We just moved. This house has NO closets on the main level. Before we had closets all over the place so I could keep a box of batteries in a closet. Now I have NO closets downstairs. I really need a way to keep batteries organized. I have a nine year old video game addict so we go through a lot of batteries. Please let me win so I can beat the battery beast.

As with a lot of the other comments…..kids toys. We have 3 kids and always need a lot of batteries. My husband and I joke that at a baby shower instead of the usual gifts we should bring a basket of batteries for the parents because they will need it!
Annette Poulosky says
I would love to win this! It would be nice to have a charger that holds all sizes of batteries. With 2 boys and a Wii, we definitely go through a lot of batteries at our house. I am putting a post on my Facebook wall too!

With my grandson going through batteries all the time, this would be wonderful. And, it would be kinder for our earth too. Looks like a win, win to me!

Yay rechargeable batteries!! A must for a mama with boys who love everything battery operated. My 4 year old’s favorite toy: The Fisher Price IXL handheld learning system! Would love to keep that up and running for him!
