Giveaway #23: Plan to Eat – 3 Full Year Meal Planning Subscriptions
I am a huge advocate for meal planning – not only to help stretch our small grocery budget, but also to simplify and organize our weeknight routine {and honestly, would doesn’t need to stretch their budget or simplify weekday meals?}
If you are like me, then you’ll LOVE Plan to Eat’s simple, electronic, and really convenient online meal-planning services — that you can accomplish in 3 quick steps.
#1. Import, Organize, and Share your Recipes.
Not only can you type in all your favorite recipes and access them from any computer with internet access, you can also search and IMPORT recipes from your favorite blogs or cooking websites to make meal planning that much easier!
#2 Create your monthly meal plan.
Quickly and easily drag and drop recipes from your Recipe Book to create your monthly meal plan. You can even add additional ingredients, make notes, change the number of servings, and then print and export your meal plan to other calendar programs to sync your meal plan with your schedule.
#3 Create customized grocery lists based on your meal plan and pantry staples
The Shopping List is where all your hard work pays off as it automatically combines and categorizes ingredients from the recipes that are on your meal plan.
That’s it.
If you’re not already using Plan to Eat’s meal planning services, then you’ll be happy to know that they are giving THREE full-year memberships away for my birthday giveaway!

Meal planning? It’s basically me running around in a panic an hour before dinner should be on the table. It’s pretty sad.

I was using a combination of Evernote and Ziplist. I am currently using the 30-day trial of Plan to Eat (please give me the bonus entry) and am liking the service (other than having to hand enter a lot of recipes). I would love to win the year membership. (Fingers crossed).

My meal planning is hit and miss. Mostly miss!

My current meal planning includes panicking when dinnertime rolls around. I find myself ordering pizza and picking up fast food way too often. I also seem to make store runs at least 4-5 times a week. Ridiculous!
Nicole Church says
My current method of meal planning is to shop the weekly sales on my shopping weeks and use up what I have on hand on my off shopping weeks. Unfortunately, I end up picking up things here and there on the ‘off’ weeks which takes time. Hence, I currently do not have a handle on things. This looks like it would be a great tool for me as I juggle freelance design work, being a mom, wife, currently pregnant, and moving in two weeks! Thanks for sharing this great giveaway, Andrea:)

I don’t have much of a meal planning strategy right now.

My meal planning goes week to week (when we have time) I would love to be more organized about it so we can eat at home more and not be so rushed.
Pam says
I pretty much plan my meals around what’s on sale and usingthe 1/4 cow in my freezer.

My meal planning is kinda hit or miss! Some weeks I plan out the entire weeks dinner meals and grocery shop accordingly. Other weeks I get hung up on deciding what meals to have and never actually get to the store. Then I scramble to throw something together from what’s already in the house.

We have just gotten in to meal planning (thanks to your blog, and others like it!), but right now it is a little tricky. I am a vegetarian and the husband is a meat lover, so we end up having a lot of the same meals!
This would be a fun way to get more creative!

Ha … meal planning …. what’s that! I could seriously use the help!

My meal planning involves me deciding that there is no food in the house. I then stand in the kitchen and think about what little I do have left, and what I feel like eating that week. I write some things on a list and head off to the store. Not the greatest way to plan, but it works for now!

My current method of meal planning is to scratch my head at 4:00 and wonder what’s for dinner. I’m on something of a little strike, because I’m so frustrated trying to feed my super picky husband and two boys. I would love to get back into meal planning though. I used to do it weekly.
Vicki says
I try to buy the specials and eat what is on sale. I try to plan ahead. But am not always successful. I was intrigued by this site.

I try to sit down and plan out a week’s worth of meals at a time. That is often easier said than done. We are trying very hard to get pregnant and I REALLY want my habits/routines established before a munchkin comes along.
