Giveaway #23: Plan to Eat – 3 Full Year Meal Planning Subscriptions
I am a huge advocate for meal planning – not only to help stretch our small grocery budget, but also to simplify and organize our weeknight routine {and honestly, would doesn’t need to stretch their budget or simplify weekday meals?}
If you are like me, then you’ll LOVE Plan to Eat’s simple, electronic, and really convenient online meal-planning services — that you can accomplish in 3 quick steps.
#1. Import, Organize, and Share your Recipes.
Not only can you type in all your favorite recipes and access them from any computer with internet access, you can also search and IMPORT recipes from your favorite blogs or cooking websites to make meal planning that much easier!
#2 Create your monthly meal plan.
Quickly and easily drag and drop recipes from your Recipe Book to create your monthly meal plan. You can even add additional ingredients, make notes, change the number of servings, and then print and export your meal plan to other calendar programs to sync your meal plan with your schedule.
#3 Create customized grocery lists based on your meal plan and pantry staples
The Shopping List is where all your hard work pays off as it automatically combines and categorizes ingredients from the recipes that are on your meal plan.
That’s it.

Um, yeah….my “planning” consists of asking my girls “so…what are we going to want for dinner” and their reponse “I don’t know, what do we have?”

My current method looks like me standing @ the fridge, freezer, or pantry, and asking my seven-year-old what he wants for dinner. He routinely names a restaurant.

I have no real meal planning, not that I haven’t tried. Just seems like I can’t get organized, I hate taking the time to look for new recipes, it’s just one thing I have never gotten very good at.

My meal planning is hit or miss these days – I could use more structure!

meal planning = a few (on sale) frozen pizzas in the freezer & leftovers from whatever (if anything) was prepared over the weekend. We are two working adults with no kids…..but really I could do better. I loved Main Dish Kitchen when they were in GR. We actually ate well and healthy when we used them.

That is something I am trying to figure out right now!
Currently, sometimes we don’t plan at all – just make whatever we can with what’s available. Sometimes I plan it out a week ahead of time.
Right now, though, I have cookbooks and recipe cards all over living room as I try to figure out the best way to plan healthy, simple, economical (aren’t those always the big 3?) meals for us!

My meal planning is non excistant…LOL! When I go to the grocery store, I quickly think of what is going on for the week and then buy for the days that we need dinners. This would be a HUGE help in the grocery area of my organization goal!!
Heather R. says
I meal plan by shopping during the week for sale items (make sure to buy meat veggies and sides) then on Sunday I sit down and meal plan based on what we have in the house for the week. It works well for us!!

I used to meal plan, but the got out of the habit. I really want to get started again, just have to figure out a plan.

I plan to eat in the morning before i head out to work. I am back in early and pass the shops for what I need. I make my list up on the way out in the morning, and the meat, fish or chicken is already defrosting before i leave in the morning!

I don’t meal plan yet, at least in any organized manner. I would really like to though. I’ve looked at this site. It looks very helpful!

I have such good intentions with meal planning. I have lists of meals that would work for my family and some weeks go really smoothly. I’d love to try this! Thanks!

My meal planning now is usually a phone call on my way home at 5:30pm to see what we plan on making and whether I need to pick anything up for it. Total chaos usually.

My meal planning leaves much to be desired. I plan out meals when I make my grocery list, but I don’t plan when I will make each meal…which means there are a lot of meals out on short notice and a lot of last minute decision making.

My current meal planning is what I like to call the 5 o’clock shuffle. That’s when I shuffle around the kitchen and try to figure out what is for dinner!!! Would LOVE to try this service!
