Last year at this time, I was hugely pregnant, I had already past 2 of my 3 due dates (my third due date was November 18th), and I was ready to be done. I was super excited to meet our baby girl, but also super nervous as I really had no idea what to expect (which was probably a good thing!)

I’ve learned a lot over the past year… and even though I have no desire to relive this year over again, I can attest to what every other parent proclaims — time really does fly!

I think Nora is about 7 hours old in this picture — if only she still slept that much!

So in honor of Nora’s first birthday {and my first year as a mom}, I want to offer one of my all-time favorite “mom things” for this week’s giveaway — the GlamourMom Nursing Top.

    I like to give a ‘Sophie the Giraffe’ for new babes. They are the best teething toys ever! Ours lasted through two boys, and lived a pretty hard life. :o)

    I think a quality (preferably lanolin-free) nipple cream is a must! Nursing is tough in the beginning and any and all resources that are available, make it so much easier 🙂

    I lovelovelove the Aden & Anais swaddling blankets. They swaddled my baby boy as a tiny baby and he couldn’t escape them. If he did, I wasn’t worried that he’d suffocate under the blankets because they’re made of a breathable muslin cotton. I cover him with the blankets when a heavier blanket will make him sweat, and they’re perfect for nursing covers if you tie the corners around your neck because of the generous size. I highly recommend all mommies to get a pack of these amazing blankets!!

    Hard to pick one favorite, but my nursing tanks rank really high. I wear them every day, so I can always use another! Plus I have never tried this brand and would love to.

    Also love my Boppy, Chicco lightweight stroller and super comfy nursing chair!

    Tank tops are wonderful for nursing moms. Also, you can always use more burp clothes.
