    My favorite birthday gift is a bakery decorated cake. I always had one growing up. My parents always made sure we had one. So, now it is a tradition that I really enjoy. But, I know that along with the cake having my family to share it with is what makes it so special.

    My favorite birthday present was a bottle of gin and a lesson in making proper martinis from my grandfather on my 21st. He drinks a martini every Sunday and having that time with him is a memory I will cherish forever.

    And I know how to make bangin’ martinis too.

    My birthday is Dec. 21 so I often get combination gifts…one Christmas my parents got me a really nice flute! I am currently a band teacher so it definitely helped on my way.

    My favorite birthday gift was a surprise getway night with my hubby. He then had friends and family show up at the locale that next morning for a birthday party. He even packed my overnight bag! <3

    I “like” you on FB and get your emails. I think not having to cook on my birthday was a gift. Lounging on the couch while my family all worked in the kitchen. Hysterical.

    27? You’re a veritable baby! LOL!

    My favorite birthday present that I’ve ever received was an Alvarez guitar that my parents gave me when I was 12. I had been taking lessons for 3 years and they finally believed me that I needed a better guitar. I’ve had it almost 30 years and I still play it almost every day!

    One of my favorite birthday gifts was actually a surprise visit from my sister and nieces who live 10 hours away! By the way, you should totally pick me because I’m tuning 27 in a couple days too!
