    Happy Birthday! My 28th birthday is on Monday! I always liked and disliked having a summer birthday. I always liked it because you could have pool parties and do other summer activities as a kid! I always disliked it because I couldn’t celebrate it in grade school with my classmates! I think my all time favorite birthday gift was probably my bike I got when I was 10 years old. I hope my baby enjoys his summer birthday – he turns 1 next month!

    My favorite birthday present was an hour-long makeup lesson at a salon. I learned how to accentuate my features, what did and didn’t work for my face, and all kinds of little tips and tricks. Best of all, I got to keep the makeup products she used! 🙂 The stylist’s advice has been so valuable over the years!

    I have awesome friends and family… one of my favorite birthday gifts was the apron my friend gave me last year! I love it! And I even remember to wear it! Plus, it’s locally made–she got it at one of the farmers markets!

    My favorite birthday present of the past few years is that my husband tries to get me to go out and do something special with each of my boys. I have 4 so that is tricky. This year I was almost dreading it because i really wanted to relax, but I went mini golfing with one, took another for ice cream, took another to the store, and played a game with another. The one on one time was really a nice way to spend the day – no one else to fight with, just got to visit and enjoy each one. 🙂

    My favorite birthday presents are rarely things- I love it when we do things as a family, like go to the pool or go to a nature park. My husband takes off work, and it feels extra special to be doing something out of the ordinary with the kids. Thanks for the chance to win, and Happy Birthday to you!
