    For the past 8 years I’ve given myself a birthday trip to Cabo with a favorite girlfriend. No boys allowed :-). She and I have been friends for years and we’ve weathered many boyfriends, moves, work drama, family issues and more. These birthday trips always provide much needed rejuvenation and restoration, in addition to lots of girlie bonding.

    You are a very TALENTED young lady!!!!! I totally enjoy every one of your posts! My FAV (of your 27 favorite things) has to be something that entices me, because I never heard of it before….it is the Artichoke/Parmesean Tapenade!!! I LOVE Tapenade, and Artichokes and Paresean cheese: What a FANTASTIC combo! Now, if I were true to what I have been doing for the last 10 months, I would have chose the SIMPLIFY item….because that is what we have been doing! My husband & I downsized 6 months ago, from a 4 bedroom home to a granny flat! I can’t bellieve how FREEING it is to rid ourselves of so much ‘stuff’!!!!!! We love, love, LOVE our granny flat!!! It is perfect for US!!!! We had 3 garage sales last Summer and many curb alerts on craigslist last Fall!!! I LOVE organization, and this downsizing has made our lives more in line with the core ME! I am a follower of yours on FB and I get your emails, so I never miss a thing! (just the way I like it). I want to wish you a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Your life will continue to blossom ahead of you in so many ways….God bless you & your family!!!!

    My single-most favorite birthday present of all time was one that I gave myself. On my 30th birthday, I was sitting on a plane headed to Switzerland for a three-week hiking trip with two of my dearest friends across the Haute Route (A 17 day hike across the French and Swiss Alps). That trip ROCKED! And no better way to celebrate surviving to adulthood, in my opinion.
