    I have to say that the first great birthday memory that comes to mind is my 5th birthday party. My aunt worked in a bank that had a basement. I thought that we were going to be picking her up from work, and we went downstairs so that I could spin the big wheel on the vault (something that I loved to do), and there was everyone special to me in my life yelling ‘Happy Birthday!’. I was given this blue bike (my first without training wheels) that had a great banana seat. It was so special because it was a hand me down from my favorite cousin.

    My favorite birthday gifts have always been books. I’m not sure I could pick a specific one as my absolute favorite, but books in general are the best!

    Happy Birthday! I’m very lucky that all of the birthdays I can recall have been full of the company of loved ones and really there isn’t a gift better than that is there? One of my most favorite birthday gifts from my childhood was a hand sewn stuffed dog that my grandmother created to look like our real dog who had just passed away a few months earlier. She even made the stuffed dog a collar that looked like our dog’s had. I’m now in my thirties and I still have that special gift.

    Wow! What a great giveaway! My favorite b’day present was a 3-ring recipe card binder for my many recipe cards. So much easier than a recipe box!

    My favorite birthday present when I was a kid was a tea set. My favorite birthday present this year was a shelf for my hall closet and flowers for my garden- I’ve apparently gotten very old! 🙂
