When you take the time to streamline recurring tasks, your efforts repay you many times over.
For most of us, tasks like grocery shopping are on our agenda at least once a week — sometimes more. So just think of how much time you could save if you streamlined your grocery shopping process!
Here are a few ideas to get you started:
- Shop with a list: Lists help prevent overspending and help eliminate forgetfulness!
- Be organized: Have your coupons organized and ready to go when you get to the checkout lane
- Shop for the entire week: One longer trip with save you time and money over several shorter shopping trips
- Limit your distractions: If you have someone who can watch your children, consider shopping kid-free (you’ll save some money, too!). And turn off your cell phone so you can focus on the task at hand.
Look at how your grocery shopping process is costing you time over and over again, and then look for simple solutions to save that time (over and over again!).
What tips do you have for streamlined shopping?

You’re dead on with this. It takes me about an hour each week to do our weekly shopping but it’s much longer when I have the boys with me.
Oh how I wish more people would heed your advice about having their coupons ready. I love coupons but nothing is more frustrating then standing behind someone who is digging through them, trying to find the one they want, while holding up the line.
Great stuff!

Yes, unorganized coupons are so annoying. I’m very conscious of this!
