Find out how to make these simple holiday cards over at MixedMediaArt.net
Wow…Christmas is only 3 days away!
I guess with all the commotion surrounding our big move, the last few days have flown by…and now Christmas is literally right around the corner!
I never imaged moving would be this time-consuming, stressful, crazy, hectic, and DIS-organized…but that’s exactly how I feel right now. Honestly, if I had to think about buying gifts, mailing Christmas cards, wrapping, gifts, making food, etc. etc. I would probably go crazy!
I’m glad I took the time to plan ahead for the holiday season BEFORE we moved…so now I can simply work on unpacking. And when it’s time to head off to a Christmas party, I’ll just defrost my goodies, unearth my box of already wrapped gifts, pull out a few of our pre-addressed holiday cards, and head off on our merry way!
Well maybe it won’t be THAT easy…but I really did do a ton of holiday planning before we moved 🙂
I know that not everyone is moving during the holidays, but there are plenty of other obstacles that can add to the pressure of this already busy time of year, like… having a baby, changing jobs, loosing a job, vacations, children coming home, other holiday guest, etc. etc. I could go on and on, but the reality is that {just like moving} the holiday season can be time-consuming, stressful, crazy, hectic, and DIS-organized!
So, if you’re feeling overwhelmed, crunched for time, cranky, ornery, unhappy, exhausted, or ________ {insert any other negative-sounding adjective}. Here are a few quick-tips for you…
If you still need to purchase your gifts — give cash, check, or gift cards instead. {I garuntee no one will complain!}
If you haven’t sent out your holiday cards — send a quick email, or send your “holiday” card on Valentines Day!
If you still don’t have your holiday decor up — recruit your kids to get creative a make a few festive decorations…or just call the whole thing off. You can handle one year without any decorations!
If you still need to whip up a few holiday treats — make a recipe you’ve made a hundred times before…or head off to your local bakery.
If your house isn’t spotlessly clean — who cares! Shove the clutter in a few clothes baskets, run a vacuum over the main areas, and call it good! {Not that I’ve ever done this before :)}
With only 3 days until Christmas, your time is very limited. Don’t try to do everything, just focus on a few things you can do to make this Christmas special for you and your family.
