I am a firm believer that using SOME sort of daily planner is essential to a simpler, more organized, less stressed life.
Honestly, I don’t know what I would do without my daily planner. It organizes my days, weeks, and months; it reminds me what to do and when to do it; it holds my Top-5 lists; it stores important information that I can’t ever seem to remember; and SO much more.
At times, I feel like my planner serves as my own little {and free} personal assistant — it just works for me!
So, when Starla from Well Kept Life sent me a copy of The Time Keeper {a daily planner she created}…I was just a little excited!
OK, I was ecstatic!!
I’m pretty picky about the planner I use and have been disappointed by many daily planners in the past. However, I knew within minutes of opening The Time Keeper, that Starla had done an AMAZING job creating a product specifically for women and all the many hats we wear each day!
Starla thought of every little detail. The size is perfect {large enough to hold lots of content but small enough to fit in your bag}, the cover image is beautiful, the spiral binding allows for easy page turns — and just wait until you see the inside!
I am SO excited to start using MY Time Keeper and I know it will make an excellent “Clutter-Free Gift” for anyone on my list this year. Christmas is ONLY 46 days away and Starla sold out of The Time Keeper last year, so make sure you order YOUR Time Keeper before December 10!!
OK, let me show you the inside…
First of all, there are 2 pockets on the inside flaps which are perfect for coupons, receipts, business cards, etc.
Then, there’s this great “Information Page” right near the front to help you keep all that important information organized and easily accessible.
The Time Keeper has monthly at-a-glance calendars for you “big-picture” people…
…and daily sections for those of us who are a little more detail oriented — ahem!
OK, now comes the fun part!
Starla went above and beyond any other planner I’ve seen to include a daily menu-planning section AND a weekly to-do list; both of which are conveniently located on the page opposite your weekly schedule. How cleaver!!
The Time Keeper also includes several blank “Notes” pages in the back…
…and handy “Gift Ideas” pages to make your birthday and holiday shopping just a little easier…
…AND 56 perforated “Grocery Lists” that you can tear off to make your shopping list each week!!!!
Honestly, I think Starla thought of everything when creating The Time Keeper; which is why I am SO excited to give this amazing planner away to one lucky Simple Organized Living reader!!!

I plan mostly in my head, but I do use my Iphone notes section to quickly jot down a grocery list here or a reminder there. It doesn’t work that well since I don’t always remember to check back for what it was supposed to tell me! i also have a daily planner, but since it is simply a weekly calendar it doesn’t help as much with all of the many tasks I need to take care of – and personally, my task list is much bigger than my schedule list! ๐

I have a variety of planning methods – none of which works really well. We keep a dry-erase monthly calendar on the fridge for family events, but my personal to-do’s take the form of computerized lists, post-its, and even (sadly) the backs of used envelopes.
I’m not a high-tech PDA/phone person, so no iPhone or anything like that for me.
Oh, and I’m looking forward to more farmhouse stories!

I have a little planner, but I Love the fact that this one has tear off grocery’s list, I use a spiral notebook to do my list right now.. Also the fact that this has a place for gifts.. I have to dig through my purse and notebooks around xmas time and can never find the list that everyone gives me..

It’s lovely. I will need a tutorial if I win. But I will feed you a lucious dessert and coffee if you come over and “TIP” me to the max with this item.

Wow, just what I should switch to… Thanks for the giveaway! I run a working horse farm, have a self employed hubby I help, 2 small kids and I teach lessons… I’m always fighting forgetting. I use a monthly calendar and sticky notes. My newest best plan is to add small notes to the coffee maker so I remember oddball commitments. Don’t laugh, I drink a lot of coffee (1/2 caff) and this works! ๐
Good luck with your packing and Congrats on your farmhouse!!!

I could not live without my monthly planner. I LOVE it. We also have a dry erase monthly calendar hanging in the kitchen. Great so everyone knows what is going on. I also use lots of sticky notes as I think of things when I”m at work. ๐

Work: planner (sticky notes inside to move appointments around), electronic planner so that everyone will know where to find me.
School: Large Post-It calendar on the wall that displays upcoming assignments and projects.
Personal: Wall calendar that my husband and I make every year for our families at Christmas. We use sticky notes, etc. to keep track of appointments and such.

This looks like the ULTIMATE!!! Recently married, I started out with a calendar that had room to write my schedule for the day (I love orderliness). I added to my time-keeping a second notebook to write menus, grocery shopping, extensive, to-do’s, canning and preserving stats, and even jotting down recipes from friends on the fly. The Time Keeper looks like the perfect place to keep all this much-needed info in order, and I wouldn’t need 2 notebooks any more!! Thanks for posting!!!!

Wow! I would love to win this “way cool” organizer. At present I am using a very small handout calendar that doesn’t allow me to list all of my daily information. Even with bifocals it is hard to squeeze all of the infor in!
Traci says
We just use a wall calendar. This would be great!
Kat says
I’m also a planner person, but then i ran out of pages for my 2010 planner! It totally sucked and i found myself writing in small scraps of paper, which confused me by the end of the day. I think I need the extra pages that this planner provides ๐

I created a Control Journal years ago (FlyLady-style), but it’s been almost as many years since I’ve used it! I’ve since added 3 children to the family, with another on the way, and still haven’t found a groove again. I’d love to have a simple, comprehensive planner that would get me off to a great start for the new year.
Thanks for the entry!

I use a big planner from the big box store that has one page for each day. Sometimes I take meeting notes in it. I am far from organized but I have noticed that having one book (plus my monthly hanging calendar in the kitchen) lets me know where to look for what’s going on!
Michelle says
I use Google calendars for unusual events and just keeping my bare routine. I often then write on my white board daily todos. I don’t look at google often enough to keep me working so looking at the white board gives me a much needed reminder.
Jennifer says
I jump around with what I use but for the majority of the time it is my iPhone and a written out to-do list. I do know the more effort I put in to writing down what needs to be done the more I get done. Wink!
Sesha says
Use my phone and calendar in my binder, which is not really convenient to carry around. I would love to win this.
Tiffany M says
I have tried everything know to woman ๐ to try to be organized. I have tried calendars and planners…..but I am game to try anything new that might help me. I am a lousy organizer.
Eos Mom says
I’d love to win, I know someone this would be perfect for! As for me, I keep a basic student-type planner in my diaper bag, at home I have a wall calendar, a dry erase board for my daily to-do list and other reminders, and a weekly dry erase board to remind me of what’s on schedule each day (school, speech, dinner plan) that week.
Meave says
I go back and forth between fridge lists, sticky notes and a small notebook, but I haven’t been consistent, and it is driving me crazy!
Catherine says
I use tons and tons of to-do lists that I always end up losing! I would love a new planner! ๐
Heather says
Oh goodness, my method is 5 different calendars + a million post its everywhere. It’s not a method, it’s madness
April says
Actually, this week my husband and I began a weekly planning schedule on our dry-erase board. So far, so good, but I’d sure love to have that organizer!
Gwen Riggenbach says
I use Amy Knapp’s Family Organizer, and LOVE it!! However, this one look similar, and I could PROBABLY adapt to a FREE planner : ) Thanks for the opportunity!
Jeanette says
This planner looks great! I would love something to help me organize. I used to be a very organized person, then I had five children and it go away from me. I would love to get back on track, especially with the kids being in school and having to keep straight (and not forget) of all of their activities and events.

Currently I am using a big fridge calender (which I forget to write on) and my memory (which is slowly failing)

I just remember things, which is why I’m often late or forgetting things.

I am kinda all over the place right now! I have a paper calendar, but I kinda use a meal planner too and some stuff is on my ipod touch in a calendar… So basically, I NEED to get it together!
This looks like a great organizer for women! I hope it’s mine! ๐
jodimichelle says
i use google calendars, scrap paper and a large notebook … and then a smaller notebook. HA! It’s all over the place.
Kendra Johns says
Love it!! I first have to look at each month. After that it is the week. Finally that specific day. I haven’t been able to find a planner that offers an outlook of the month and then room to detail more by the week and day so this is GREAT!!!! My days are so hectic that my monthly planner just isn’t always the best tool. It’s great for a quick look when making appointments or for our calendar that the whole family uses to be aware of important appointments but it loses it’s value when it comes to my specific to do stuff each day…
Joanna Watson says
I use a mini calendar I keep with me all the time. Unfortunately, sometimes I forget to look at the calendar. LOL I use a notebook for gift lists and a whiteboard for my grocery lists. It would be so nice to win this and consolidate all these things together. Thanks for the opportunity.
Tiffany says
I use a wall calendar and a menu planner on the frig. Sticky notes for grocery lists as well as gift lists. Some days it works some days it doesn’t. I would love to win this planner, it would make everything so compact in one spot!
