It’s the final day of my “11-in-2011” challenge. I hope you’ve been inspired to set a few simple goals for yourself this year.
Today’s goal is a little different than my other goals, because today’s goal involves NOT doing something.
Goal #11 = Make Time for What Really Matters
I’m often guilty of being too busy to just sit back, relax, do nothing, and enjoy the simple things in life.
Are you?
I always have an agenda, I always have goals, I always have places to go, I ALWAYS have a to-do list. And while I’m not quite ready to get rid of my to-do list, I can certainly make a little more time to just sit back and relax…I think!
Here are a few ways I will try to make a little more time for what really matters in 2011…
I going to work on creating balance between work and fun.
I’m going to “unplug” and recharge on Sundays.
I’m going to take more walks.
I’m going to have lots of fun renovating our house!!
I’m going to invite people over even if our house isn’t exactly how I want it to look.
I’m still planning to work on my other 10 goals, but I’m also going to enjoy life along the way!
What will you make time for this year?

not waiting for “perfect” is the key to hospitality, i think.
and oppositely, having people over MAKES me clean in a way i don’t always–so it’s a good mix:)

I couldn’t agree more!
Personally, I like to have company over at least once a month — which motivates me to really clean the house well 🙂

love this post, so true and I am going to do the same..
I particularly like your goal of being unplugged on Sunday, and inviting people over even if the house isn’t spotless..
