What food mill do you use and recommend? How often do you use it and could you share favorite whole grains recipes that your family really enjoys?
Thank you!
Andrea says
Hi Anna Marie,
Yes, I still grind grain almost every day for pancakes, waffles, muffins, bars, bread, etc. We LOVE eating this way and know we are getting such great nutritional benefits
I use the Nutrimill Harvest — it’s pricey because it’s really pretty. You could very easily use something less visually appealing and less expensive, especially if you don’t plan to keep it out on the counter.
Here are some of my favorite recipes — and here are more of my whole grain posts. You can very easily switch any recipe over to freshly ground whole grains by simply substituting half the flour called for in each recipe with whole grains.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have more questions.

Hi I remember you posting about reading the bible and you had a sheet with a good way to read the bible and I can’t find it… Thank you
Andrea says
Hi Lauri, I could have sworn I already replied to this comment… but I guess I didn’t. Sorry!
Anyway, the link to the Bible reading plan is in this post: https://andreadekker.com/habits-and-hobbies/
Also, She Reads Truth has a bunch of free reading plans.

Having trouble accessing the categories page. I don’t find the blue button and only see a reference to comments. Would like to search for information on oven cleaning. Thanks!
Elizabeth says
How do i search for a topic?….example: emergency binder?
Andrea says
HI Elizabeth,
All you have to do is click on the little blue “magnifying glass” in the top left corner. A search box will drop and you can type into that box. Hit “enter” on your keyboard and the posts will pop up

If you are on the mobile site, then click the 3 lines in the left corner, then click categories, it brings us to a mostly blank page that says “leave a comment.” There is no categories list or anything.
Andrea says
ah… OK, I think I fixed the menu issue so now you should be able to access all my main blog categories from that menu drop-down!
Mary Dolan says
Hi. Your categories page goes to comments. How do I find the he categories? Thanks.
Andrea says
hmmmm… that’s odd. What “categories page” are you referring to?
I only have one categories page (https://andreadekker.com/categories/) and it’s working perfectly fine for me. I don’t even have an option to leave comments on the categories page — so I’m not sure how you were able to leave a comment! Crazy!
Mary Dolan says
I am clicking on the drop down menu and selecting categories. It then goes to the leave a comment page.
Andrea says
ahh… you’re doing this from your phone on my mobile-friendly site?
that makes more sense! I’ll look into it tomorrow!
Crystal says
Same for me
Andrea says
where are you clicking on this categories link? Is it in one of my posts?
I literally can’t even find your comments on my live site as my Category page doesn’t allow comments — so I have no idea how you are able to leave a comment!
