We’re just weeks away from another new year — a fresh start, a new beginning. And while I definitely don’t want to rush through the holiday season, I can’t help but be excited to flip over my calendar on January 1.
Although it’s just another day, January 1st is significant for me because it really does feel like a fresh start. It’s a chance to take a deep breath after the holiday season, re-evaluate my current goals, make a few new goals, and press forward with anticipation of everything I might accomplish in the coming 12 months.
I LOVE THAT!
.
This year, I’m extra excited for January 1st because it means a brand new e-course I’m part of is launching: Live — Creating a Life You Love.
I’m partnering with Mandi Ehman of Life Your Way, and 11 other top-notch bloggers to produce an amazing 12-month e-course that will intentionally walk through a different area of what “really living” means each month:
- January :: Simplify
- February :: Love
- March :: Connect
- April :: Focus
- May :: Rest
- June :: Explore
- July :: Know {Yourself}
- August :: Disconnect
- September :: Learn
- October :: Serve
- November :: Create
- December :: Celebrate
As you might have guessed… I’ve been asked to cover the topic of Simplify 🙂
Mandi and I have each written several never-been-published-before articles on the topic of simplifying — and they will ONLY be available to those who sign up for this e-course.
I also did a fun interview with Mandi and a podcast that goes into more detail about my life, why I feel so strongly about living simply, and what “living simply” actually means for me.
.

.
If you feel like you’ve been struggling to “really live” your best and most fulfilling life, this 12-month e-course could be just what you need to kick off another new year.
And what better “fresh start” than to follow along with my tips and motivation to simplify your life!

Did you post somewhere that you can purchase individual months? I want to sign up for yours but didn’t see anything about on that blog. Thank you.
Andrea says
Hi Chris, Here is the direct link to sign up just for one month (it will take you right to the PayPal page). The cost for one month is $17. Hope you love it!!
oh, and also, you might want to check your PayPal account towards the end of January as I’m not sure if this is a “one-time” monthly payment or a “recurring” monthly payment. If it’s recurring, and you only want one month, you’ll want to cancel the payment at the end of the month!

Thank you.

For all the people who think that it’s not fair to have to pay for great content – here is an excellent read for you: http://mhyatt.us/1hFnNLD
Andrea says
Thanks Luba — that’s awesome ๐
Luba Rokpelnis says
You’re quite welcome, Andrea. ๐ It’s no accident that I saw that. ๐

I’m finding out about this opportunity a little late. For such a big purchase some more time to juggle funds and weigh the cost against my budget would have been appreciated. I decided this is something I could really benefit from and went to sign up only to find the price is now$199!
I just can’t swing that. I am humbly asking for an extension of the promo price.
Thanks
Andrea says
Hi Crystal,
Sorry you missed out on the early-bird pricing, but I did clearly state in the post that it was only until Dec 15. Unfortunately, I personally have no control over the price or the dates of the early-bird pricing… so I do not have the ability to offer you the lower price now, after Dec. 15.
I think Mandi might have some coupons or special offers after the course starts in January, but I don’t know for sure, nor do I know what those coupons or special offers might be. Sorry I can’t be of more help right now, but that’s the only information I know. Thanks,
Crystal says
I just wanted to let you know that I didn’t mean to imply that your content isn’t worth paying for. I just didn’t see your post until after the promo pricing had ended and thought it was worth a shot to ask for an extension.
I’m doing some budget juggling to make it work and I’m really looking forward to this series. I love your no nonsense approach.
Thanks
Crystal
Andrea says
Thanks Crystal, I was not offended — just wanted to make it clear that I did not have the authority to give discounts.
I’m not sure if you follow me on Facebook, but I did post a deal from Mandi on there the other day — $175 for the full year instead of $199.
Hope that helps!

I appreciate that you will be offering your content on your site for free. These “ebook” packages that cost A LOT of money (for things you could generally find on the internet or at the library for free) disappoint me. While I understand you all need to make a living, it always makes me scratch my head when bloggers like Crystal and Tsh, who claim to be so frugal and money conscious, ask people to spend money on things like this.
One of my favorite things about your blog is that it’s not a constant advertisement to buy (often cheap and shoddy) items or one “sponsored” post after another. I stopped reading MSM for that very reason.
Andrea says
Hi Brenda, I just want to clarify that this is NOT an “ebook” as you mentioned. This is a full year-long course with tons of brand new content every single month. Yes, there will be a decent amount of reading material, but there will be free printables, podcasts, interviews, and so much more — definitely way more than an ebook.
Also, while I understand you are not personally interested in this opportunity, there are many others who are. Just because Crystal and Tsh (and myself for that matter) have frugal readers doesn’t mean every single person who has ever read our blogs is only focused on frugal living. We’re here to provide blog content and learning materials for as many people as possible — not just those looking for only free information.
I realize you appreciate and prefer the free content available on most blogs these days — however, keep in mind that the reason we’re able to provide all that content for free is because of advertisers, sponsored posts, etc. While I definitely agree with you that some blogs take it too far (and I try REALLY hard to find balance on my blog) I do feel it’s 100% necessary for bloggers to be compensated for the massive amount of time we put into our blogs. If you want the information for free, the money needs to come from somewhere else.
Since we’re charging for the ecourse, we won’t be getting advertisers or sponsors — so that course and everything involved will be completely ad-free!

The e-course looks like a great opportunity! I am looking forward to having something fun to start in the new year!!!
Andrea says
Thanks Megan — I can only vouch for my own month of material — but I think it’s going to be fabulous!
Amber says
Hi Andrea,
I am really interested in the e-course. I went to the site and read all blogger details. I do have a question. I notice that almost all the bloggers have children. I don’t have little ones, and definitely don’t mind reading some parenting info, however I am wondering if the content of the course will be primarily geared to mothers of young children?
Thanks
Amber
Andrea says
Hi Amber,
I actually have no idea — but I’m guessing Mandi would not gear a full-year course only towards mothers with young children. That would be a relatively narrow market ๐
I know that my month of “simplify” posts and articles really has nothing to do with being a mom of small children. Yes, the topic comes up, but the over-all themes are just how and why I simplify, the benefits of simple living, etc. etc. — good for all ages and walks of life!
Dawn Kaestner says
This sounds so great but I am disappointed that it is so expensive! Finances are on my list of goals for the new year too so hard to justify even if the content is helpful:(
Andrea says
Hi Dawn,
I totally understand that $156 might sounds like a lot up-front, but that’s only $13 a month (I know people who regularly spend more than that on one fast-food meal)
13 people have put hours and hours and HOURS of work into this eCourse (12 contributors + Mandi) so we definitely can’t give it away for nothing.
I’ll still be offering all the content on my blog for free (as always) for those who can’t justify the price. This course is simply extra, above-and-beyond the information on my blog.
