Today is Nora’s first Halloween… and thanks to my sister (a Labor & Delivery Nurse) Nora has a super cute “Nurse In Training” costume!
I was saving the Fisher Price doctor’s kit for her birthday in 3 weeks — but I just couldn’t resist opening it up a little early since it just completes her costume.
Just to be clear, I’m not “for” or “against” Halloween.
We don’t decorate for Halloween and we don’t spend money on anything Halloween related… except some candy to pass out to trick-or-treaters. However, I have no problem with people who DO do these things.
I also have no problem with dressing my cute almost-one-year-old baby up as a nurse and going to visit her grandparents and aunts/uncles!
So that’s what we’ll be doing after dinner tonight…
But since you don’t all live within driving distance, I thought I’d better share a few pictures on the blog 🙂
Happy Halloween from Nora — I can’t believe tomorrow is November already!

She is adorable! Thank you for sharing!
I have very favourable Halloween nights from growing up in Canada. Dressing up is so much fun and offers such a nice freedom from everyday life. And communities really bond together.

Sorry I meant “memorable” not “favourable” !!

Well Nora is adorable and I love Halloween maybe because I am a Halloween baby (bday 10/27) I just turned 50 aaaaaahhh!!! lol anyway I don’t do scary or gory but we do hot dogs/chips/cookie and a drink down at the church then open up the trunks for the treats and then we head to our friends house and make cinnamon/sugar scones and cotton candy for their trick or treaters. I ALWAYS enjoyed Halloween, I consider it a fun-filled family holiday. I prefer “cute” Halloween to “scary” and don’t like gore, but if you have sons, well, different story. I don’t understand people who think it is evil or a day to worship the devil. Nonsense. It originally was the night before the day to honor the dead. xo

That is the sweetest little nurse I’ve seen. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

A nurse today, a doctor when you’re grown, perhaps? Happy day to you sweet Nora!

She is so adorable! When it comes to Halloween, my husband and I are the same way. We don’t decorate or really do anything. We have 2 girls and my husband is against dressing them up, which is just fine with me. I’d rather not spend the money on the costumes or go through the hassle of trying to figure out what they are going to be. They will still get candy from relatives and that is plenty. I
Have a WONDERFUL Halloween and have fun while she is little!
