In case you missed it, yesterday was the BIG DAY when I launched my “new” website. So of course, I thought we should celebrate today with a fun giveaway!
Well, it just so happens that my friends over at Hoover recently launched some new products of their own… and they’ve graciously offered to give away TWO of their newest vacuums to help us celebrate!
1. The Hoover High Performance (available at Walmart)
2. The Hoover Wind Tunnel Air Steerable (available on Amazon.com)
And since it’s THAT time of year when we’re all trying to “spring clean” and organize our homes, I figured new vacuums would be the perfect giveaway!
First, let me tell you a bit about these brand new vacuums — and yes, I was lucky enough to receive BOTH vacuums to use in our home. I’m also lucky enough to have a husband who is willing to vacuum — but unfortunately, Hoover can’t help you with that one 🙂
1. Hoover High Performance:
This vacuum really IS “high performance”.
This is how much junk it sucked out of our living room carpet AFTER I vacuumed with our previous vacuum, and I usually vacuum twice a week! (I included my hand in the picture so you could tell just how much dirt and dust this really is)
It’s super powerful, and seamlessly maneuvers from carpet to hard floors with the twist of a knob — making it the perfect tool for our home.
It also has a boatload of “on board” attachments that transform this vacuum into a vicious pet-hair-grabber, crumbs-in-the-crack-finder, and kid-mess-picker-upper.

2. Hoover Wind Tunnel Air Steerable:
Since our house has a basement, a main floor, a second story, and a heated outbuilding (with carpet), we frequently have to lug our vacuum up and down stairs… and to the outbuilding to vacuum, so I’ve been on the look-out for a light-weight, affordable vacuum that still has LOTS of suction and power.
Well, the Hoover Air Steerable is all that and more — plus, it’s super easy to maneuver around (and under) furniture.
It’s super powerful, but extremely easy to lift up and down stairs, or wherever you need it (it’s less than 14 lbs.) I’ve actually used it a couple times to vacuum out our cars because it has a nice long hose and great attachment options.
The last time I checked, the Hoover Wind Tunnel Air Steerable was on sale for only $159 via Amazon.com!
Hoover has a really fabulous new marketing campaign for these two vacuums — I absolutely LOVE the commercials!

With a cat, linoleum, rugs, and carpet of different heights, it would be nice to have a vacuum that would actually get everything clean. (If you vacuum twice a week and got that much extra stuff off your floors, I’m scared to see what my current vacuum is missing.) And the attachments would be wonderful as well to help clean the furniture and curtains and get rid of all the pet hair and crumbs they seem to attract.

My current vacuum was purchased during our college/newlywed/TOTALLY BROKE days for about $30 at Wal-Mart. It is definitely on its last legs … I’d would LOVE a new vacuum! Fingers crossed 🙂

I would love a new Hoover vacuum because we are getting ready to move into our first house as a married couple, and we need a better vacuum than the ones from college we’ve been dragging around! We both also have bad allergies, so keeping the floor clean is important!

Oh, wow! This is great. We are currently using a shop vac since our vacuum is no longer working. Keeping our house germ free is a top priority for a health issue. Shop vacuums don’t really contain the dust from flying around.

After 35 years of marriage, everything needs to be replaced, I have a wonderful husband who helps out around the house, but a new vacumn would make life easier for us, I have begun to have serious allergies so we vacumn much more frequently now and ours is not new and air cleaning effective, but it is what we own.
Love your ideas, have redone all our drawers in the way you fold, made it so much neater.

The vacuum that we have now is loud and does not have powerful suction to pick up what is somehow embedded in our carpets. It would be wonderful to have a new vacuum.

Wow. I have an ancient Hoover WindTunnel — great vacuum, but the cord is patched with electrical tape and its suck power has ebbed. I’d love to use an updated machine on my equally ancient carpets!

I would love a new vacuum! The one I currently have is over 17 years old! It’s been great but we’ve had to make multiple repairs in the last little while. I live in the country…here in windy Idaho…so it’s always dusty! I’ve never owed a Hoover but have heard great things.
