In case you missed it, yesterday was the BIG DAY when I launched my “new” website. So of course, I thought we should celebrate today with a fun giveaway!
Well, it just so happens that my friends over at Hoover recently launched some new products of their own… and they’ve graciously offered to give away TWO of their newest vacuums to help us celebrate!
1. The Hoover High Performance (available at Walmart)
2. The Hoover Wind Tunnel Air Steerable (available on Amazon.com)
And since it’s THAT time of year when we’re all trying to “spring clean” and organize our homes, I figured new vacuums would be the perfect giveaway!
First, let me tell you a bit about these brand new vacuums — and yes, I was lucky enough to receive BOTH vacuums to use in our home. I’m also lucky enough to have a husband who is willing to vacuum — but unfortunately, Hoover can’t help you with that one 🙂
1. Hoover High Performance:
This vacuum really IS “high performance”.
This is how much junk it sucked out of our living room carpet AFTER I vacuumed with our previous vacuum, and I usually vacuum twice a week! (I included my hand in the picture so you could tell just how much dirt and dust this really is)
It’s super powerful, and seamlessly maneuvers from carpet to hard floors with the twist of a knob — making it the perfect tool for our home.
It also has a boatload of “on board” attachments that transform this vacuum into a vicious pet-hair-grabber, crumbs-in-the-crack-finder, and kid-mess-picker-upper.

The Hoover High Performance is reasonably priced at around $175 and currently available at most Walmart stores.
2. Hoover Wind Tunnel Air Steerable:
Since our house has a basement, a main floor, a second story, and a heated outbuilding (with carpet), we frequently have to lug our vacuum up and down stairs… and to the outbuilding to vacuum, so I’ve been on the look-out for a light-weight, affordable vacuum that still has LOTS of suction and power.
Well, the Hoover Air Steerable is all that and more — plus, it’s super easy to maneuver around (and under) furniture.
It’s super powerful, but extremely easy to lift up and down stairs, or wherever you need it (it’s less than 14 lbs.) I’ve actually used it a couple times to vacuum out our cars because it has a nice long hose and great attachment options.
The last time I checked, the Hoover Wind Tunnel Air Steerable was on sale for only $159 via Amazon.com!
Hoover has a really fabulous new marketing campaign for these two vacuums — I absolutely LOVE the commercials!

I would love a new vacuum so that I can replace my old one with tape covering the bare spots on the cord! I would also love one that could do hardwood floors since we are about to replace our carpet (our old one just shoots the dust back at you on tile or hardwood).

I would love to have the Air Steerable to get around those tight corners in my house, however the High Performance would probably be even better for us because we go from carpet to hardwoods back to carpet as you move throughout our house. And we have two cats, two kids and lots of dirt tracking in and out!

Oh my gosh a new vacuum would be wonderful in my new home! We are moving across the country for a new job and how great would it be to have a vacuum that could keep up with us! I have two chocolate labs and a ten year old daughter…they can bring in the dirt. In addition, I use a motorized wheelchair for mobility and talk about the muck and dust the wheels bring in to the house!!! I love the maneuverability of the Hoover Wind Tunnel Air Steerable. I love your blog but I just wanted to say that I read an article once on the salesman who come to your house to show how great their vacuum is, and they vacuum after you do, showing all the dirt missed, that they said if the situation were reversed, it would do the same thing.
