For those of you who are continually striving to be more efficient, get more done in less time, and make the most out of your time each day, you know all too well that productivity is hard work!
It’s takes constant focus and effort — and even still, you’re not guaranteed success.
I love being productive, and I’ve learned that in order to make the most of my time, I absolutely MUST plan ahead and prepare to be productive.
Believe it or not, I actually spend about 20-30 minutes EVERY evening planning and preparing to be productive in the day ahead. And while I know this might sound counter-productive, this 20-30 minutes saves me so much more time the following day.
Today, I’m sharing how I prepare to be productive over at the Turnstone blog!

Thank you for the great list! Every tip helps. 🙂 I love what you said about taking time the night before to get everything ready for the morning. Mornings are so much calmer when I don’t have 50 things to do!

I just posted about this today! I do something very similar to you, except I plan for the week ahead each Sunday night.

I prepare by list and updated calendars. If I don’t keep these things up to date, then everything goes awry. Perfect example, very busy weekend that followed a week of not feeling good. So I thought I had to be somewhere tonite, but it is actually next Tuesday. So, I am looking at this as a gift tonite to spend time getting my house back in order, calendar up to date, and meal plans done. With two busy teenagers, I can’t fly by the seat of my pants. Leaves me feeling too anxious.
