If you’ve ever done any type of home renovation project, you’ve probably thumbed through piles of magazines, scoured the Internet, and walked the isles of home improvement stores searching for inspiration and ideas.

Or maybe I’m the only one! 

I absolutely LOVE reading about other people’s ideas, learning helpful tips and tricks, drooling over amazing before and after pictures, seeing the lastest products, and dreaming of what my house might look like if I implemented even just a few of the ideas in my ideas book or in my array of Pinterest boards.

So as you can imagine, I’ve been doing lots of “research” for our kitchen renovation… which means I spend a fair amount of time each week searching for new ideas, looking for deals on products we want to buy, and drooling over all things “kitchen”.

Don’t tell Dave, he thinks I’m always working when I’m at my computer 🙂

Anyway, because I’m a home-renovation junkie, I’m excited to share a fun little design sweepstakes sponsored by Apartment Guide.

From now until August 14, you can visit YourPicksYourPlace.com to vote {once per day} for your favorite room design showcasing furniture and home décor items selected by featured bloggers.

Unfortunately they don’t have a kitchen round, but the voting is currently open for some pretty sweet bedroom designs… like the one featured below.

By voting, you’ll be entered for a chance to win a $10,000 grand prize or one of eight $250 weekly prizes to decorate your own home. You can also find design and décor tips from Apartment Guide, and featured bloggers to help you design a room that’s uniquely you.

    Pinterest. I can ignore it for months and then become obsessed with some small change and look at hundreds of ideas.

    I think my inspiration comes from our travels, I always want to have pictures of the beautiful places we’ve been and work from there.

    My inspiration comes from lots of places… Pinterest… Parade of Homes… or I’ll walk around Hobby Lobby and come up with my own ideas.

    My inspiration comes from seeing it in other’s homes–online sites help, but when I see the real thing in real scale, I’m inspired to try it for myself.

    I like to watch HGTV and DIY for ideas, Pinterest, and magazines. I love to find bargins at yard sales and turn them into cool pieces for a room too!!

    I find my inspiration on pinterest, DIY bloggers, and my own mind! A good way is also to go through some garage sales, vintage boutiques, and thrift stores!

    We currently remodeling a bathroom, and lets call it “tweaking” our front porch. So I’ve put my time in on Pinterest, Houzz and of course any free design magazines I can get my hands on.

    I love thrift stores. The eclectic mixing and matching of things you would normally never put together in your home can inspire you to try new things.
