If you’ve ever done any type of home renovation project, you’ve probably thumbed through piles of magazines, scoured the Internet, and walked the isles of home improvement stores searching for inspiration and ideas.

Or maybe I’m the only one! 

I absolutely LOVE reading about other people’s ideas, learning helpful tips and tricks, drooling over amazing before and after pictures, seeing the lastest products, and dreaming of what my house might look like if I implemented even just a few of the ideas in my ideas book or in my array of Pinterest boards.

So as you can imagine, I’ve been doing lots of “research” for our kitchen renovation… which means I spend a fair amount of time each week searching for new ideas, looking for deals on products we want to buy, and drooling over all things “kitchen”.

Don’t tell Dave, he thinks I’m always working when I’m at my computer 🙂

Anyway, because I’m a home-renovation junkie, I’m excited to share a fun little design sweepstakes sponsored by Apartment Guide.

“Your Picks. Your Place.” Sweepstakes

From now until August 14, you can visit YourPicksYourPlace.com to vote {once per day} for your favorite room design showcasing furniture and home décor items selected by featured bloggers.

Unfortunately they don’t have a kitchen round, but the voting is currently open for some pretty sweet bedroom designs… like the one featured below.

By voting, you’ll be entered for a chance to win a $10,000 grand prize or one of eight $250 weekly prizes to decorate your own home. You can also find design and décor tips from Apartment Guide, and featured bloggers to help you design a room that’s uniquely you.

And while we’re on the topic of home renovations, decorating, and design, I figured we might as well include a fun giveaway…

    I “steal” ideas from Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrel catalogs a lot. 🙂 I try to reproduce an idea with my budget in mind…Target is awesome for that! 🙂

    My inspiration comes first from sheer necessity; second, lately, from Andrea @ S.O.L. and from Pinterest; and third, I used to resort to my Romantic Homes, Country Living & Southern Living for inspiration but not so much of late.

    I get my inspiration from Magazines like Coastal Living, BHG, catalogues, etc. Decorator blogs is another source.

    I find a lot of my design inspirations from Pinterest as well as I work in the home remodeling industry so I also get to see what local people in my community are doing and pull from their ideas!
