If you’ve ever done any type of home renovation project, you’ve probably thumbed through piles of magazines, scoured the Internet, and walked the isles of home improvement stores searching for inspiration and ideas.

Or maybe I’m the only one! 

I absolutely LOVE reading about other people’s ideas, learning helpful tips and tricks, drooling over amazing before and after pictures, seeing the lastest products, and dreaming of what my house might look like if I implemented even just a few of the ideas in my ideas book or in my array of Pinterest boards.

So as you can imagine, I’ve been doing lots of “research” for our kitchen renovation… which means I spend a fair amount of time each week searching for new ideas, looking for deals on products we want to buy, and drooling over all things “kitchen”.

Don’t tell Dave, he thinks I’m always working when I’m at my computer 🙂

Anyway, because I’m a home-renovation junkie, I’m excited to share a fun little design sweepstakes sponsored by Apartment Guide.

From now until August 14, you can visit YourPicksYourPlace.com to vote {once per day} for your favorite room design showcasing furniture and home décor items selected by featured bloggers.

Unfortunately they don’t have a kitchen round, but the voting is currently open for some pretty sweet bedroom designs… like the one featured below.

By voting, you’ll be entered for a chance to win a $10,000 grand prize or one of eight $250 weekly prizes to decorate your own home. You can also find design and décor tips from Apartment Guide, and featured bloggers to help you design a room that’s uniquely you.

    I always search Pinterest for ideas, before that I’d look thru magazines. Now that we are moving at the end of August, my husband is even checking Pinterest for room designs!

    I used to really look through magazines and then watch HGTV. Since Pinterest though I’ve changed how I look for ideas. I go there first and foremost.

    Often I find inspiration from movies–even though you are not necessarily watching for “style inspiration” you can’t help but notice and be inspired by the way movie producers have laid out spaces people live in and work in…it’s pretty fascinating!

    since i started using Pinterest, that has definitely been my go-to for craft and design ideas! It is a fantastic place to find everything all kind of neatly organised, and it is a litle less intimidating than the whole World Wide Web. Thanks for the Giveaway!

    I voted for the coastal getaway. I love the beachy theme! It makes me think of vacation and relaxation! Although I don’t think I could get away with this design until my kids are grown since it involves a lot of white and light colors 😉
