If you’ve ever done any type of home renovation project, you’ve probably thumbed through piles of magazines, scoured the Internet, and walked the isles of home improvement stores searching for inspiration and ideas.

Or maybe I’m the only one! 

I absolutely LOVE reading about other people’s ideas, learning helpful tips and tricks, drooling over amazing before and after pictures, seeing the lastest products, and dreaming of what my house might look like if I implemented even just a few of the ideas in my ideas book or in my array of Pinterest boards.

So as you can imagine, I’ve been doing lots of “research” for our kitchen renovation… which means I spend a fair amount of time each week searching for new ideas, looking for deals on products we want to buy, and drooling over all things “kitchen”.

Don’t tell Dave, he thinks I’m always working when I’m at my computer 🙂

Anyway, because I’m a home-renovation junkie, I’m excited to share a fun little design sweepstakes sponsored by Apartment Guide.

Unfortunately they don’t have a kitchen round, but the voting is currently open for some pretty sweet bedroom designs… like the one featured below.

By voting, you’ll be entered for a chance to win a $10,000 grand prize or one of eight $250 weekly prizes to decorate your own home. You can also find design and décor tips from Apartment Guide, and featured bloggers to help you design a room that’s uniquely you.

    I’m terribly at visualizing ideas for my house, so I definitely need to see other peoples’ pictures/homes to get inspiration!

    I get my inspiration for shows on HGTV and DIY Network, and lately it’s been from pinterest. Sometimes I steal ideas from friends too! 🙂

    Usually I just do what I like based on what unique things I score at goodwill! 🙂 But obviously pinterest is a great resource for ideas.

    Pinterest is one place I go plus there is several blogs that give me ideas! At least for dreaming!!!

    When I am looking to redecorate or even “spiff” up an area, I start checking out thrift stores, yard sales, and flea markets. I tend to choose items that look like they belonged in a old farmhouse once upon a time….and you just can’t buy authenticity at the mall. 🙂

    I LOVE Target for my home and classroom. We just moved into our first home over the summer and I have been trying to be budget-friendly when shopping for items for my new home. It’s so hard to do when you have rooms to fill! Target helps me stay within a budget but yet purchase durable and cute things!

    My design inspiration comes from everywhere, im always looking a decor where ever i go. My firends place, HGtv i watch all the time for ideas and the DIY channel. I like all the little ideas like recycling things to create new ones.

    I get most of my ideas from Pinterest but another place I love to get ideas is from Houzz. i am even signed up to received regular emails from them.
