Congrats to Tabby: tabbyrb3@… I will email you today to get your shipping information!
I am so excited about this weeks “Weekend Giveaway” because it has helped me clear the clutter from one area I have often struggled to keep organized…
Our batteries!
I know that might sound crazy, but for some reason, I never settled on a great system for storing or organizing all the different types of batteries we have — and then keeping the rechargeable ones charged, the non-rechargeable ones easily accessible, etc. etc. Some were in the kitchen, some in the basement, some in the office… and then we could never find the charger when we needed it!
However, I was recently given an opportunity to write an article for Energizer — and along with that, I was able to test out a bunch of great Energizer products, including their new Universal Charging Station and a bunch of Energizer Rechargeable batteries.
Why I love Energizer’s System:
The Energizer Universal Charger is so compact and portable — yet it’s still able to charge up to 8 batteries at a time, AND it charges AAA, AA, C, D, and 9V batteries so you don’t need a separate charger for each type!
And even though everything I’ve mentioned so far is wonderful — my FAVORITE features of the Energizer Universal Charger is the easy-to-read LED charge status indicator {located on the top cover} that quickly shows you which batteries are fully charged and how much longer the other batteries have until they are charged. This means I don’t have to try to remember how long the batteries have been charging or guess if they are fully charged or not!
Thanks to the Energizer Universal Charger, we have switched all our batteries over to Energizer Rechargeable Batteries and I keep them in a clear plastic bin in our office with the Universal Charger on top of that box. Our batteries are neat, organized, all in one place, and I never have to look for the “right charger”!
The Giveaway:
Energizer has a lovely “gift basket” for one lucky Simple Organized Living reader.
The gift basket includes:
- One Universal Charger
- One 4-pack of AAA rechargeable batteries
- One 4-pack of AA rechargeable batteries
- One 2-pack of C rechargeable batteries

Posted it on my FB wall!
Would LOVE to have rechargeable batteries. I always feel like a shlub buying the 99 cent ones at the dollar store or, worse, Wal-Mart. I’m trying to live a waste-free lifestyle (cloth handkerchiefs, composting, etc.) and rechargeable batteries would be greatly beneficial to that goal.
Thanks for the opportunity! ๐

I would benefit from this by saving money and time! And the environment would benefit too.

We are always needing batteries for something. We try to keep an assortment on hand, but inevitably we run out. Rechargeable are the way to go!
Eden says
We use batteries all the time in my house (the remotes, Wii, flashlights, etc) and like you were saying the excess are usually stored in different places. This Energizer Universal Charger and batteries would cross off the “organize batteries” I have on my to-do list and make life easier to replace a battery when the life is gone from them.

I have two teenagers that constantly ask for new batteries. This giveaway would help me so much. I love the idea of being able to save money.

We go through so many batteries! My 3 kids have cameras, toys, video games, etc. that all need batteries. I usually buy them at Costco, but a rechargeable system would save us a lot of money!

Living in a studio that is less that 175 square feet, I am always looking for green organizational tools. The Energizer Universal Charger is a one-stop shop for all things rechargeable….minimalism at its best!
Thank you for hosting the giveaway…I promise to provide a loving home for the rechargeable batteries and universal charger!
Melanie says
I agree…trying to organize batteries can be crazy…if you do finally find a great way…i’d love that posting. My family has been trying to become more earth friendly. Recycling more…using less disposable items. I would love to have the chance to try out rechargeable batteries. I used some once…years ago…and would love to get back into using them.

We have a Wii & camera that both seem to eat batteries like nobody’s business. It would be nice to be able to recharge at home – – both in terms of taking up less space than a huge battery stash and saving $$ as well.
Thanks for the chance!
Laura says
I would love these! With two little boys, we go through SO many batteries. We had some rechargables, but they were so old and not holding a charge for long.

With a 10 year old girl, a 7 year old boy, and a 20 month old baby boy, we go through tons of batteries. It’s time for us to switch to rechargables rather than keep buying the disposable kind.

I simply refuse to put alkaline batteries into a landfill as they emit heavy metals into our water supply. BUT, being the Mama to two kiddos under age five, you can imagine how many of our toys require batteries. Having this charger and batteries would allow more of our toys to have the “power” that they require. :o)

I would LOVE to win this! With 4 girls and all their toys, I need to use rechargeable batteries!
Darrie says
Rechargeable batteries are exactly what my family needs. Between taking pictures at every soccer game, xbox and WII, and the various other toys and batteries needed around the house it would help to cut back on money being wasted on buying new batteries constantly.

Love rechargeable batteries. The ones I have are not lasting very long anymore! Not sure if it is the charger or batteries, so fresh both would be wonderful! We use AA for the camera alot right now during soccer and football season!!

This is new to me, and what a great way to save money and the environment. It seems that we are always out of batteries. We have to hide them from our son, who is always needing to replace batteries in one of his gadgets. This would be awesome for our family!

what a great giveaway! while i’m fairly organized when it comes to our batteries, i still use too many disposable ones instead of rechargeable ones. i have the AA charger is all, but you know, the alarm clock uses AAA. and the flashlight uses D. and i don’t like the idea of having three chargers. that’s why this system looks so great! one charger, multiple battery sizes? yes, please!
