I’m sure it’s not a huge surprise that I absolutely LOVE fun organizing tools and products — they are some of my favorite things to shop for!
Of course, I don’t recommend purchasing organizing tools until you’ve actually organized your space and know what tools you need — but when you do head out to shop for organizing tools, I’d highly encourage you to stop by Staples to check out the brand new line of Martha Stewart Home organizing products.
Martha Stewart has partnered with Avery to create a FABULOUS line of functional, practical, affordable, and absolutely gorgeous line of organizing products… and they are only available at Staples and Staples.com.
I’m guessing that when you think of Staples, you automatically think “office organizing tools” — and that’s true… there are a bunch of office organizing products in this new line. However, Martha Stewart has all sorts of other fun goodies like binders, journals, filing systems, chalkboard labels, dry-errase labels, gift tags, spice jar labels, meal-planning tools, etc. etc. You can see them all over at Avery.com

lately I love re-using glass jars in assorted sizes and shapes, once the labels removed , they work great for art supplies, other food items like rice, pasta, sugar, flour…the best thing is everything is easily distinguished or can be labeled easily…my other favorite is bins, boxes, or baskets that match so it’s very uniform!

I have a couple over the door shoe organizers that I bought at the dollar store. Depending on the room I put different things in them on the back of the door and most of the time the door is open so you don’t see that. It is especially helpful in my daughter’s room. She is 5!

I do a lot of organizing with shoe boxes and zip lock baggies. Not very attractive, I know — I would love some of Martha’s!

I love baskets, any kind really. They are perfect for holding everything.

Tackle Boxes!!!! They are truly wonderful. You can find them in the craft section at stores like WalMart, but the secret is to go to the fishing department. They can be a bit cheaper there. Anyway these boxes have filled my home. I use them for anything I can: the small Tone’s spice containers, my daughters hair ties & clips, crafting supplies, earrings, office supplies, junk drawer stuff. That’s right I no longer have a junk drawer, Yay!!!! Yup anything that I use to throw or would normally throw into the junk drawer now gets its’ own compartment in “The Tackle Box”, that’s right and when it gets full I downsize the Tackle Box and my household remains junk drawer free.

my favorite go-to organizing is using cardboard shoe boxes with the attached lids, recipe card and packing tape to label it. Frugal and study until something better can replace it.
Darlene says
I like using plastic baskets for keeping things in. Or totes for storing clothes in.
Starla says
I love baskets and other containers to corral like things together. Creating a HOME for everything is one of the keys to keeping my home organized.

I love using shoe organizers (the hanging kind) to organize. I use the back door of my linen closet, my laundry room, and two of our bedrooms. I use them for (gasp!) shoes in one room, toiletries in another room, things like toothpaste, deodorant, toothbrushes, etc. on the back of the linen closet door, and for bagged mixes (noodle mixes, rice mixes), popcorn packets, extra spice jars, etc. on the back of the laundry room door.

I love any type of organizer that will keep me from seeing all my “stuff”. I don’t like clutter so if an organizer can be pretty and hide all of the clutter then I’m totally happy.

Empty glass jars which I fill with everything. Office supplies, food, craft stuff, it looks so much prettier and you can see how much you have left!
Eryn says
Sticky notes are the best! I write my “to-do’s” on them and after I have finished each task I simply throw away that note and move on to the next note.
Shelbie says
The magazine file holder is my all time clutter -buster! I tend to have loose paperwork all over the place unless I “catch” it all with one of these labeled bins!

My go to organizing tool is the trash bin – I try to get rid of as much clutter and non-essential stuff as possible – though with a 5 year old hoarder, I seem to be losing that battle.

My go to organizational tool would have to be little baskets and boxes that fit in drawers.
