I’m sure it’s not a huge surprise that I absolutely LOVE fun organizing tools and products — they are some of my favorite things to shop for!

Of course, I don’t recommend purchasing organizing tools until you’ve actually organized your space and know what tools you need —  but when you do head out to shop for organizing tools, I’d highly encourage you to stop by Staples to check out the brand new line of Martha Stewart Home organizing products.

    My favorite tools are small baskets from the Dollar Store. I use them in drawers to organize everything!

    I love all of you articles/tips! I look for your status updates on my Facebook newsfeed. My go to organizing supplies are my sharpies and post-it notes… Great for labeling and color co-ordinating. I am a new school Speech Therapist who travels between buildings and I am always looking for better ways to organize myself 🙂 I am also a typical teacher… I read the directions to fast and posted on your facebook page as well… Sorry!     I just “liked” you on facebook. Thank you for all your posts! I was just introduced to your site a month or so ago and I have been inspired by reading posts on freezer cooking, uses for vinegar, how to organize a small space, etc. Reading your posts are like having someone to brainstorm with. A couple of times, I’ve turned to my hubby and said, “Listen to this idea!” And he’s been impressed by the ideas! We live in a 543 sq. ft. condo with a 2yr. old and a 7mo. old. and no storage closet. It’s a tight squeeze, to say the least! It’s finally spring(ish) so we’re starting to “purge” and I’m going to put my extra sheets between my boxspring and mattress! Any other ideas for small spaces would be greatly received!

    Any kind of plastic box or basket, and I’ve found that empty baby wipes boxes are great for small toys!

    One of my favorite organizational tools is a tiered rack. It easily holds file folders for those papers that I refernce most often . It can easily access them and it is much bettr than a pile.

    I love lidded boxes, folders, and labels. I just wish I could always keep them out of reach of a certain 2-year-old!

    I like cloth bins to hold things. We use big plastic ones as well but the cloth ones look so much better around the house.

    I love assorted cosmetic bags (often the “gift with purchase” bag from high end make-up & beauty products) that I get inexpensively from thrift stores. I use them to organize everything from charging cables to pens/markers and of course beauty supplies.

    Favorite… hard question!
    1. Love my iphone. Never thought I’d use it this much but wow. Not sure what I do without it.
    2. Open baskets and bins of all description come in as a tie!
    3. Post it notes at work save my memory!

    I like you on FB but I also do use baskets to help me organize, although I could stand for lots more help! Lately, I’ve been reusing diaper boxes to hold toys to give away, transfer to a different room, hold outgrown kid clothes, etc. they aren’t pretty but are functional. I did see on Pinterest a tutorial to cover them with pretty paper to make a cute storage box and would like to try that project soon!

    I’m big on repurposing jars and boxes for organizing. I also love inexpensive bins and magazine files for lots of things around the house.

    I LOVE plastic totes and my label maker. I have totes all over the house, in closets and cabinets to organize everything. My basement is lined with stacks of totes all nicely labeled with holiday decorations, hand me down clothes, etc. I even have a tote full of extra totes =) And I label bins, totes, shelves, and such so everyone in the house knows what goes where.

    My favorite organizing tools are any sort of box with a lid. I like all sizes, colors and materials. Keeps everything contained and the dust out!

    Photo boxes, I can hide just about anything in them; extra tape, staples, craft paint, etc.
