My favorite birthday gift is not a material gift at all but the fact that I still continue to have birthdays! I had thyroid cancer 6 years ago at the age of 26. It was a very eye opening and scary time. But after that, I married my best friend and have an amazing son who is 3! So every birthday and the fact that I am healthy and alive and continue to get to enjoy life with my awesome family is the best gift of all!

My favorite birthday gift was a seiko watch my father gave me for my 16th birthday. We lived in Japan at the time and that was 1970 and I still have that watch!

A Stone Mountain purse that I had always wanted, a gift from my daughter!

My favorite birthday gift was a beautiful Vera Bradley diaper bag that my husband had put money aside to buy for me. With three kids it was an absolute necessity. My husband is the best in the world. I would love to win as of 6 weeks ago I just had our fourth baby. Then I recently went through post-partum depression (still working on that) and have thryoid problems. Winning something like this would just make my day!

My favorite birthday gift was almost nine years ago when my daughter was born four weeks early, two days before my birthday. Ok, so I wasn’t thrilled at the time since it cut my maternity leave short by a month (I went straight from work to the hospital after my water broke), but now I can laugh about it and she is the light of my life!

The best gift I ever received was a necklace from my future husband four years ago. We had only known each other for just over a month at the time and he had gone out of town a few weeks before my birthday to winterize his cabin in remote Alaska. I certainly never expected a gift from him, but he sent me the most beautiful handmade necklace with three dried forget-me-not flowers in a locket, the Alaska State Flower. He said the flowers represented our relationship – I won’t go into how ’cause it’s a long, but beautiful story. I’ve received much more expensive and elaborate gifts over my lifetime, but this one was by far the most meaningful.

ONE of my favorite birthday presents was when my parents threw me a Sweet 16 Party, 50’s style. We went all out and had props, decorations, old cars, popcorn machine, air brush tattoos, and Elvis! They really did go all out for me, and I still appreciate it very much!

My favorite birthday gift was the gift of rest! I was a new mom suffering from lack of sleep because my 4 month didn’t even come close to sleeping through the night. I pumped and he fed her the entire night so that I didn’t have to and I got to sleep as long as I wanted. It was awesome!
Leonard says
Time to spend celebrating it with grinds and family.

My favorite birthday gift was from my daughters. They asked to “borrow” 20.00 and spent approximately one hour in Target’s dollar section picking out my gifts. ๐ I received bubbles, notepads, flip flops (that fit them, not me), and stickers. Definitely the best birthday ever!
Kathryn says
One of my most favorite birthday gifts was for my 15th birthday when my parents gave me a puppy of my own. Not only was it an adorable Golden Retriever, but what meant the most to me was that it showed me that my parents trusted me enough to take care of it; they finally believed that I was responsible enough!

My favorite gift was a wall hanging tapestry thing with bunnies on it!
