    What a great giveaway! My favorite birthday gift was a sweater from my husband, because it was the first piece of clothing in over 7 years that fit me in a size small! 🙂

    Being the “practical type,” one of my favorite birthday gifts ever is the upright freezer my husband and sons gave me several years ago.

    Happy Birthday! My favorite birthday presents are the ones from my twin brother. We always get each other something excessively practical (new wiper blades anyone?) or I’ll clean his truck out for him.

    I remember getting a full-size guitar for my 11th birthday. I love instruments of all kinds, and was so delighted to receive it. It is hard to pick *one* favorite, but that had to be one of my most favorite birthday presents ever. 😀

    I love your site and follow you on Facebook. My favorite birthday present I ever got was a gorgeous gold band from my father when I turned 20. I had been drooling over the ring for months and I was completely shocked to get it. No one knows you like your Daddy does!!

    Happy Birthday! My favorite birthday gift from this year was my Paula Deen red whistling tea kettle! My old kettle had rusted and this pretty new red one looks so nice in my kitchen 😀

    My favorite birthday gift is from my kids, when they were 8, 10, and 12 years old (now they are 30, 32, and 34). It was a plastic angel that I could hang on the wall, but what made it special was the way the kids signed it on the back. 8 year old said “I love you mom.” 12 year old said “Happy birthday to the best mom”. 10 year old son wrote “Sorry I didn’t get up and go to Church this morning.” It’s the sentiment that makes it special.

    My favorite birthday gift ever was actually this year. My three best friends took me to the National Gallery of Art, Jaleo (awesome restaurant in DC) and gave me “Being Peace” and six yoga classes. They knew I was stressed beyond words and they took the time to find ways to diminish some of that. While the gifts were perfect, the three best friends are even more so. 🙂

    My birthday is right before Christmas, so it all blurs together.. however, my one aunt would always celebrate my HALF birthday, smack in the middle of June. Those gifts, and that thoughtfulness, were by far the best. She’d often send books, that she’d then gone through and written in the pictures, adding our names, writing a comment… totally personalizing. She rocks at gift giving still!

    Happy Birthday, Andrea! I love your blog. My favorite B-Day gift was on my 30th B-day my mom took me to Tahiti. The best mom and daughter trip ever – we had so much fun and have lots of great memories.
