It’s Labor Day weekend — and for Dave and me, that almost always means some sort of painting project. The Home Depot always has a great rebate on Behr paint {my favorite paint} so we usually stock up on plain white paint and then have it tinted later as we decide on color choices.

This year, we’re painting our kitchen walls and ceiling, a bunch of trim, and our front entryway.

I just LOVE how a fresh coat of paint totally transforms a room (or a piece of furniture) for less than $30! What an inexpensive, and relatively simple project, especially for those of us who enjoy painting.

And even if you don’t love painting, but you do it anyway because you’re too cheap to pay a professional, I’ve got a fun painting tool that will make your life just a little easier…

    This is a great idea!! I love it! I’m hoping to paint our laundry room…right now it’s still the same white primer when we first moved in, and that was 3 years ago!! lol.

    Well…..if we stay at this house, the spare bathroom and laundry room are in BAD need of paint…..but if we move….shoo….I guess we are starting from scratch and will need to paint every room. (I’m hoping for an older house…I think 😉

    Our next project….so many that need to be done…will likely be some garage organization while the weather is nicer. Inside projects will have to wair to winter. Great website–like your ideas!

    The next project I’m working on is finishing the baby room. It was 90% finished before she was born two months ago!! I just need to paint the trim and switch out the curtains!!

    Will be painting as soon as the Fall is officially here, gotta open the windows, fresh air helps with the paint smell, and makes everything crisp and bright!

    We are going to be turning a large closet and hallway into a small bedroom for our daughter. Lots of work but will be worth it in the end. We are always painting something so the paint brush cover will come in handy.
