It’s Labor Day weekend — and for Dave and me, that almost always means some sort of painting project. The Home Depot always has a great rebate on Behr paint {my favorite paint} so we usually stock up on plain white paint and then have it tinted later as we decide on color choices.

This year, we’re painting our kitchen walls and ceiling, a bunch of trim, and our front entryway.

I just LOVE how a fresh coat of paint totally transforms a room (or a piece of furniture) for less than $30! What an inexpensive, and relatively simple project, especially for those of us who enjoy painting.

And even if you don’t love painting, but you do it anyway because you’re too cheap to pay a professional, I’ve got a fun painting tool that will make your life just a little easier…

    We are in the middle of totally replacing all the existing floor in our home with porcelin tile (great for Arizona)! Along with that, we want to repaint most of the rooms in our house. Paint brush covers would be a major time-saver for us. I love that you don’t have to wash out your brush every time you want to take a break and the paint and brush will stay fresh!

    We are having a “Pink 10th Birthday Party” for our youngest and with 3 older sisters, it’s going to be a hoot! We have a few random pieces of furniture we are painting PINK! New brush covers would be wonderful!

    Our next project (whenever we get the money) is to repair and upgrade our back deck. Adding stairs will mean we can get to the back yard without having to go through the front door. Seriously.

    Where do I start? I have so many projects at my house and my parents… I am actually replacing my parents shower this weekend and hope to get it done in two days! Wish me luck… LOL!

    My next project is at my parents. I have been helping them with projects around the house- have painted both steps and their shed already… Next up is the pantry!
