Have you ever been somewhere without your computer and needed to charge your cell phone, your MP3 player, your camera, or some other device that would normally plug into your computer’s USB drive?
So frustrating!
I was actually shocked that some of our most recent technology purchases didn’t even come with a wall or car charger — only a USB charger, which means I’d need to have my computer with me and turned on in order to charge these devices.
Until Now…
I was recently asked to try out Energizer’s newest Universal USB Charger — which is only about the size of a small apricot and easily plugs into any wall outlet for instant “chargeability” for all USB device!
I was absolutely thrilled with how simple and easy it was to use — and the fact that it really is “universal”. It will work with any USB charging cord — camera, MP3 Player, smart phone, cell phone, etc. All you have to do is plug your charging cord into the USB outlet on the front of the Universal Charger, then plug the charger into the wall. Done!
The charger is so small that you can easily take it with you wherever you go.
Oh, and just in case you don’t have the right charging cords, Energizer is also including a Mini and Micro USB charging cord that should fit the majority of your chargeable devices {at least they fit most of ours!}
Sound like something you could use to help reduce your cord clutter?
Good, because THREE lucky Simple Organized Living readers will win a fun Energizer Prize Pack!
The Giveaway:
1 Energizer Single USB Wall Charger
1 Energizer Micro USB Charging Cable
1 Energizer Mini USB Charging Cable
This is such a cool, clutter-free giveaway and I just know you’ll love it as much as I do!

What a great idea!!!!
Krista says
My frustration with cord clutter also comes with trying to baby proof our cords. There are so many. We have all exposed outlets covered. Now we’re trying to consolidate and conceal the cords that we need to use.
Susan T says
It’s confusing to try and figure out which cord, cable goes! What a tangled, never ending mess!
Janis says
Its so frustrating to have a lot of cords in my drawer and not sure what cord goes with what device. It would be nice if everything didn’t use a different size!!!
Carmen says
I hate cord clutter. We have charging cords for cell phones, video cameras – and then there are more cords for downloading data to the computer. I’ve eliminated some but this would help even more
Marianne says
My biggest frustration and fear is that with the children and our dog they can get hurt with all the cords in a big tangled heap. We try to weed out as many as possible but there are still quite a few plugged into a safety strip. It would be nice not to have that worry all the time. I am constantly nagging them to be careful !!!
kim lombardo says
I think this would be a great organizing tool! I have 4 kids, computers, printers, cell phones, ipods, nooks, cords and chargers everywhere. I label them as soon as we get them, so that helps, but its still a mess!
MJ says
We have cords all over the place! We live in an apartment and have cords for just about everything and somehow they wind up all over the place. Our entertainment center alone has a bunch of cords that all get tangled together, so when you have to unplug something from behind the tv, you have to untangle and try to find the ONE cord you need. With having all of these cords everywhere we have a hard time finding our cords that charge our ipods and cell phones, since they are not something that is plugged in all day, they get moved everywhere.
AC says
The cords are everywhere except where I need them to be!
Joy says
I can’t stand all the cord clutter! Everything has a different cord and I am constantly looking for places to plug things.
Mandy P says
I love technology but hate how junky all those cords look. No matter how I try they always seem to end up in a big knot.
Danielle Roe says
My biggest frustration is that I live in an apartment, and there are never enough outlets. We have plugged in power strips everywhere to accommodating for the issue. However, then we have a million cords in one place. We have one under our couch so of course we then have cords sprouting out from under our couch. Very annoying!
Julie says
i just hate the look of all those cords cluttered up. this seems like a great solution!
Maryjane says
My biggest frustration is that every device has it’s own charger, nothing seems to be universal. ugggh! And you have to rummage though just about every one to find the right one. And don’t even get me started on having to travel with all these cords and accessories! This prize would solve a daily headache.
Kimberly B says
I always seem to unplug the wrong thing. Cords seem to be the modern wire hanger problem.
Jennifer M says
I can’t stand the look of cluttered cords. Everything seems out of place even if it’s just the cords.
Jill says
I hate stepping on the cords all under my desk.
Julie M says
The thing I hate most about the cords clutter is the fact that somehow when you have them all untangled after a while, they get tangled back up again. When you literally haven’t even touched anything. ๐
kathy w says
I find the most frustrating thing is very thing runs out of charge at the same time! Anything that helps this situation would be wonderful.
Cyndy Bunn says
I can’t stand any cord clutter. Wish everything was wireless!
Kate says
I hate having to use extension cords all over my house. There’s never an outlet where you need one most! ๐
Annie says
The cords are all over but never where I need them.
Alicia says
I am an avid scrapbooker and my cords are everywhere…under the table, behind a shelf, behind a cabinet. Cord clutter has now become a way of life. That in itself is frustrating
Angie G. says
My biggest frustrations with cord clutter are the wires getting tangled and identifying them all.
Lisa says
My biggest frustration with cord clutter is the tangle they all get in. Not only unsightly, but just time consuming to untangle.
Laurie says
My biggest frustration with cord clutter is that is is just plain unsightly to look at.
beth says
As I work on my computer, there is a tangle of cords at my feet. I occasionally move my feet the “wrong” way and everything on my computer comes crashing down. I lose power. Anything to minimize this cord mess would be a good thing.
Len says
The cords are alive. When they are in a dark spot like a cupboard or drawer, they crawl together like worms and get all tangled up.
Michael says
to many cords that they all get tangled and you have no clue what half of them are for.
Ann says
My biggest frustration is how to store them so they are easily accessible, take up as little room as possible, don’t look messy, and are labeled so we don’t have to wonder which cord goes with which thing. Currently we put each one in toilet paper tubes but that gets to be a mess in the cupboard too!
Laurel says
My biggest cord frustration is all of the cords around our desktop computers. No matter what I do with them to organize them and make them look sleeker, there are still so many of them and all of different lengths that they still look unsightly. Ugh.
Schmidty says
Too many! I lose them …
Emily says
I dislike the looks of all the cords tangled up behind the desk!!!
Fiona says
Hmm…Behind our TV in the lounge, it just looks like Spaghetti Junction. My biggest nightmare is when we are cleaning, and I don’t know where each cord/plug came from, nor do I know how to put it back..Help!
Melissa says
We have a bunch of cords in our living room from computers, lamps, etc. It can be a trip hazard for our newly walking 10 month old.
Leone says
For me it’s the PC cords and cell phone cords that frustrate me. Unfortunately they’re absolutely necessary but they sure “ugly up a room” fast. Oy!
Tammy says
I think my biggest frustration with cords is that we still NEED them for so many things! I wish we could wirelessly charge a lot more items, hopefully that day is coming. In the mean time, I love that more things are going to a universal usb plug so at least we can charge more than one device from the same kind of cord. I have been pinning usb wall chargers but never found a link to an actual product, would love to win.
Natalie M. says
Oh cord clutter! I could go on and on, but the thing that bothers me the most are the cords from my computer to my monitor, speakers, etc. under my desk. All different lengths and thicknesses, it’s so hard to keep them under control!
julie says
too many cell phone cords. love the way you can keep it more organized
Kerrie says
If I don’t win this I’m buying it; we have a cord drawer and it takes five attempts to find the right cord each time one is needed. Drives me insane!
