UPDATE: This giveaway is now closed.
Congrats to: Elizabeth (rogerseliz@….) and Rebecca (rebecca.lammi@…)
In case you missed it, yesterday was the BIG DAY when I launched my “new” website. So of course, I thought we should celebrate today with a fun giveaway!
Well, it just so happens that my friends over at Hoover recently launched some new products of their own… and they’ve graciously offered to give away TWO of their newest vacuums to help us celebrate!
1. The Hoover High Performance (available at Walmart)
2. The Hoover Wind Tunnel Air Steerable (available on Amazon.com)
And since it’s THAT time of year when we’re all trying to “spring clean” and organize our homes, I figured new vacuums would be the perfect giveaway!
First, let me tell you a bit about these brand new vacuums — and yes, I was lucky enough to receive BOTH vacuums to use in our home. I’m also lucky enough to have a husband who is willing to vacuum — but unfortunately, Hoover can’t help you with that one 🙂
1. Hoover High Performance:
This vacuum really IS “high performance”.
This is how much junk it sucked out of our living room carpet AFTER I vacuumed with our previous vacuum, and I usually vacuum twice a week! (I included my hand in the picture so you could tell just how much dirt and dust this really is)
It’s super powerful, and seamlessly maneuvers from carpet to hard floors with the twist of a knob — making it the perfect tool for our home.
It also has a boatload of “on board” attachments that transform this vacuum into a vicious pet-hair-grabber, crumbs-in-the-crack-finder, and kid-mess-picker-upper.
Or just a fun “light saber” toy for Nora 🙂
The Hoover High Performance is reasonably priced at around $175 and currently available at most Walmart stores.
2. Hoover Wind Tunnel Air Steerable:
Since our house has a basement, a main floor, a second story, and a heated outbuilding (with carpet), we frequently have to lug our vacuum up and down stairs… and to the outbuilding to vacuum, so I’ve been on the look-out for a light-weight, affordable vacuum that still has LOTS of suction and power.
Well, the Hoover Air Steerable is all that and more — plus, it’s super easy to maneuver around (and under) furniture.
It’s super powerful, but extremely easy to lift up and down stairs, or wherever you need it (it’s less than 14 lbs.) I’ve actually used it a couple times to vacuum out our cars because it has a nice long hose and great attachment options.
The last time I checked, the Hoover Wind Tunnel Air Steerable was on sale for only $159 via Amazon.com!
Hoover has a really fabulous new marketing campaign for these two vacuums — I absolutely LOVE the commercials!
This is the High Performance commercial:
This is the Air Steerable commercial:
Aren’t they clever!
I think moms and dads everywhere will resonate with these commercials 🙂

I would love another vacuum to keep downstairs because I’m pregnant and not able to carry our heavy vacuum down the stairs.
Nicole says
Would love a Hoover as I have yet to find a good vacuum that will take care of dog hair and lasts for the long run. The vacuums I buy seem to poop out in a year or two.
Deb Henry says
I need one so my kids and inspired to vacuum so I don’t have to!
Stacy Bitter says
I have had my current one for 14 years and the cords are starting to fray after 3 kids, 2 cats, and lots of living!

I would love a new vacuum to clean up after my dog and two cats. Plus to get at all the garden dirt I’ve been tracking in. I’m currently using a cheap vacuum from my college days and its not really cutting it.

i would love a new vacuum because I have a toddler, a baby learning to crawl, two giant hairy dogs, and a messy husband to cleanup after. Needless to say, I vacuum pretty much every day!!!
Tara says
I actually really like my Simplicity vacuum. But I’d love to have another vacuum to keep in my garage to clean out car spills the day they happen instead of waiting until they are ground into the upholstery or carpet. I really struggle with this and drives me nuts. Something light and with a long hose would be perfect.

We have 3 kids all 5 and under and another one on the way. I have tried so many vacuums even spent a od fortune and they never last. I remember my dad used to use Hoover when we I was a kid (the canister kind) and it lasted forever!

Our vacuum is in sad shape and I would guess picks up far less than we would like it too. These vacuums look amazing and I would love to be the proud new owner of one! ๐

I live in the country and have tried several different vacuum cleaners – but not either one of these. Anyway, nothing so far has been able to pick up the stickers we get in our carpet from living in the country!! I would love to have a new vacuum and give it a try!

Love your site:) I’m a stay-at-home-mom who does housekeeping for 4 families on the side to earn some extra money. I LOVE it. It helps me out and delights the people who I clean for. Another bonus? The exercise! Anyway, each of these families have nice vacuum cleaners for me to use whilst I am in their homes cleaning.
I also like to vacuum my own home once a day. My vacuum is a clunky, heavy, broken-hosed dinosaur of a vacuum. I want to get another, but a nice one, not a low-quality one that will be cheap on the wallet but not last. I guess you could say I have vacuum envy. Envy is not good. It would sure help a sister out to have a new vacuum;) Thanks for the opportunity.

The handle broke on my current hoover, so it hurts my back to vacuum too long as it is short. I could definitely use a new one.

I have three boys, two of whom are teenagers. Enough said.

well, my vacuum cleaner has had its day for sure. it whines really loudly in certain positions and scares my kids! I have 4 kids living at home and my 2 oldest help out so one that is not so clunky would be great! I really need a new one! PLEASE!

We often take our household helpers / workhorses (including our vacuum) for granted until we have to live without one. A couple of days ago, one of my water pipes broke and resulted in extensive water damage. What a life-changing event! I’m a single mom, and our life and household have been turned upside down and are crazy and chaotic to say the least. There’s been a steady flow of workers coming and going through the house to make plumbing repairs, tear out wet drywall and begin the “drying out” process before restoration work can begin. A few weeks ago, my vacuum stopped working and is hopelessly beyond repair. Now faced with new unexpected expenses, purchasing a new vacuum has been moved way down the list. With all the dust and pieces of debris from the water damage cleanup, it feels like our cozy little casa will never resemble clean again. Never thought I’d say this, but…. I’d absolutely <3 a new vacuum!

A Hoover vacuum! I think this is by far the best giveaway, ever. I’ve been dreaming of owning a Hoover vacuum for years. As a fairly new mom, with parents and in-laws living thousands of miles away in India, juggling between home cleaning and child rearing sometimes gets completely on my nerve. Though I do not own any pets, my toddler has an uncanny ability to mess up the home thoroughly. A Hoover can mightily improve my life.
I’m a subscriber to the good ol’ SimpleOrganizedLiving.com and now the classy-looking AndreaDekker.com.

I’d love it to pick up after my 2 little ones & dog. My vac broke & when I replaced it (with one I found on sale…) I realized too late that it was *not* good enough & now I feel STUCK! This would be great!

Hi, first of all I love your new site, its an easy layout which makes it fuss free for me to find anything & everything easily (so Thank You for that lol). Now back to the topic on hand… The Hoover vacuums! I have had a little dirt devil (From my Parents Christmas 06′) since I first moved out of my parents when I was 20. Although I have to occasionally take it apart to unclog it & the fact that both of the wheels constantly fall off, I do believe this was a great first vacuum. See I love animals, Dogs in particular, & due to my disabilities my options are narrow. So my idea of happiness is to rescue, rehabilitate & adopt out (of course keeping an occasional few), the many hopeless dogs, because without me many I have found on the streets would’ve just been euthanized or left to suffer. Which takes me back to the vacuums, Ive been needing a new one but with money tight & all I can’t really afford one right now with being on disability & I rather my house stay clean for my animals, & myself. Thanks ; )

I would love to win one of these sweepers. I’m sure my current sweeper is missing alot of dirt and hair ๐ We have carpeting in the whole house…not our preference as we rent. We have three children and a chocolate lab …so needless to say lots of dirt gets tracked in! I did subscribe to receive your updates by email. Thank-you for all your helpful tips and sharing your life with us.

I need one because
(a) the one I got as a housewarming when I bought my condo five years ago is dying
(b) I rescued two adorable cats off the street over the last 2.5 years and man, do they SHED sometimes!
(c) said cats love to rip apart anything paper-like….. i.e. toilet rolls……
(d) I have a boyfriend who stays with me frequently. ‘Nuff said.
(e) I will be buying a house soon with said boyfriend, and my current gerontile vaccuum won’t cut it when I go from 600 sq ft to 2,000 sq ft ๐ ๐ ๐ … she served me well, though, over the years.
(f) did I mention the pet hair?!
Love your giveaway idea!!! And love seeing you in my Facebook Newsfeed!!!!
