We love our iPad… especially Nora!

We take it almost everywhere we go as it easily fits in the diaper bag or any other bag we take with us. Plus, it’s perfect clutter-free “toy” to occupy Nora if we end up waiting longer than we thought at the doctor, if she gets antsy at one of Dave’s basketball games, or if we have a longer than normal road trip.

There are enough games, coloring books, photos, videos, and TV programs to keep her entertained for a week if need be!

Recently, I was given one of the brand new Martha Stewart iPad cases to try… and I was immediately excited as I noticed how user-friendly it was AND that it easily attached to the back of a car headrest (why didn’t someone think of that sooner!)

Out of the three of us, I use the iPad the least (if you’re wondering, Dave uses it the most) and even I was impressed with this case. It’s quite thin, but still very durable and sturdy. It’s also extremely easy to operate and adjust for increased functionality and usability.

A few more reasons we love this case:

  • It’s a smart case, so it automatically turns the iPad on and off
  • It quickly and easily rotates vertically and horizontally without removing the case
  • It easily attaches to a car headrest
  • The outside is nice soft leather but the part that actually surronds the iPad is hard — so I feel like it’s really protected
  • We can easily access the camera, the volume buttons and the charging port without taking the case off (you would think this should be obvious, but this is not always the case)
  • It’s very sturdy, but light weight — and balances perfectly on a toddler’s lap 🙂

    It’s funny, I received the iPad as a gift and I find everyone else in the house stealing it from me! I use it to check my email and feed my Pinterest addiction, but my husband and kids love the games. That case is super cute, I love that it has an elastic band. So handy for those long car rides with three restless kids in the backseat!

    I don’t have an iPad, but if I were to win a really neat Martha Stewart iPad case, I feel certain I
    would have to immediately go out and purchase one. I would use it to check my bank account
    daily, listen to music, use it often in the kitchen to peruse recipes. It would also be very
    convenient to use in my AVON business. I would not be tethered to my desktop PC with paper orders, I could just place them directly into my iPad ( with the really neat case) where ever I am. I would use it to listen to pod casts and as a great organizational tool along with the planner I have created using those great Andrea Dekker planner templates I have downloaded. Most importantly I would use it to read my favorite blogs..

    What don’t I use my Ipad for! 🙂 I stream Pandora in the mornings while getting ready for work, I catch up on FB on the go, I bookmark favorite blogs, healthy eating articles, and family activities ideas. I keep and organize all my notes on this thing by using springpad (bc its also available offline!), I use it as my portable digital album and update it as friends and family email pictures to me, I take pics of handwritten notes and save them on here as well. I track my expenses on spreadsheet using Quickoffice app, I connect and organize volunteer projects with my friends by using the Kona app, I read in bed with the lights off (so convenient 🙂 ). I watch my favorite shows on it, I stream dance videos on you tube while I work out, and save my favorite pics from pinterest or anywhere on the web. I use my banking app to stay up to date on my expenses and make online payments. The wonderful thing about the Ipad is how portable and convenient it is, I can be anywhere inside or out of the house and as long as I have wifi I can look up any info I need or cross things off my to do list bc I can complete many tasks on the go. Cannot imagine not using it daily, love it! It has been a great organizing tool for me.

    I love to watch home movies on it in bed at night 😉 I also love to watch my sons funny movies he makes and laugh!!! They usually have our dog or cat in them…. They are HILARIOUS!!!!

    I love my iPad… I take it everywhere and fits perfect in my daughters diaper bag. She is only 4 months but I look forward to her leaning how to use it. I can show photos from my iPad which are bigger and easier to see than the iPhone. I would love to have one if these cases… Like several friends of mine it is hard to find a good case that works for many things!

    I use my iPad to keep the kids occupied: movies, games, math games, word games. I use myself to view videos on youtube: how to do my hair (guess I didn’t get the girly gene) or workout videos. I also like the iPad to log into my bank and zip around setting up payments and reconciling my checkbooks – seems so much faster than using my laptop:)

    I love my iPad to catch up on emails, check Facebook, Pinterest, and search the web. It is so portable and can go anywhere!!

    I don’t have one yet…but I just found out there is an app to organize all of my piano teaching business including the money, the lesson assignments, games, and more. It would simplify my life since I have 2 studios and I carry everything between them!

    I love to multitask with the ipad. Check blogs while watching TV or put it in a holder that latches to a kitchen cabinet with a recipe and I refer to it while cooking.

    My husband and I play the iPad version of the German designer Carcassonne. We pass the iPad back and forth to take turns. It’s a lot of fun! I also like to catch up on my favorite TV shows on the iPad because I can take it to different rooms of the house and watch while I clean and organize.

    I love using my husband’s iPad to quickly and easily check something online wherever we are, without any laptop, cords, etc……ooh, but my favorite use is probably to follow a recipe for dinner without having to print it out (and listening to Pandora while doing it)!
