Today is Dave’s birthday (he’s 31 — which is much older than me!) so in honor his birthday, I’m sharing one of HIS favorite organizing tools.
First of all, I do know that I’m extremely lucky to have a very clean, neat, and organized husband. And even though I take some of the credit for helping him to be more organized… I will also admit that he’s been neat and organized from the day I met him.
He’s actually so organized that he makes his own planner every year to use for school, coaching, and all his many other activities (looks like we are both quite particular about our planners!)
This summer, as he was preparing to head back to school, I got a package in the mail with a few Duo 7-Pocket Accordion File Binders. I was immediately intrigued by the binders because they were essentially two organizing tools in one compact unit.
I showed Dave (who was equally impressed) and the next thing I knew, he had “stolen” the Duo binders from my side of the desk and proceeded to fill them with his homemade planner, school papers, student council information, coaching plans, etc.
My new organizing tools were gone — and I wasn’t going to get them back!
Thankfully I explained that my husband was hogging our Duo’s… and they sent me another one for an important project I’m working on — I’m planning to share more about this after the New Year.
See how full my Duo is already!
This multitasking tool is a fabulous way to manage all of your papers, projects, ideas, and more.
Binder Features:
- 7-Pocket Accordion File with customizable tabs
- Sized to fit papers up to 8.5″ x 11″
- 1-inch 3-Ring Binder
- Elastic bands hold the binder and accordion file closed
Here are just a few ideas of what you could use your Duo for…
- Recipes and menu plans
- Home improvement information (paint swatches, ideas, invoices, receipts)
- Class materials for teachers, students, and parents
- Holiday gift ideas and receipts
- Travel itineraries
- Photos
- Coupons and shopping lists
- Tax documents
- Kid’s artwork, school projects, report cards, etc.
- and SOOO much more!
Dave and I use our binders every single day — and there aren’t many organizing products I can say that about. Plus, the DUO retails for around $15, so I’m thinking it might just be the perfect little add-on for a bunch of people on your Christmas list this year!
If you or anyone you know could use this handy organizing tool, I would highly recommend entering today’s giveaway!

I would use this fantastic Duo binder to FINALLY organize my budget for the new year!
I would be able to use the notebook section to write down daily what my family spent, bills I paid, etc. I would then use the binder section to collect monthly receipts for warranties, taxes, returns etc. I should then be able to daily monitor the budget and make sure we are meeting our goals!

Being an organizer I’m not easily impressed by every notebook/binder out there however this is something that is perfect for a huge project I’m working on. I love the fact that it is a binder and folder together plus compact. I already follow u on FB.
Beth says
I think this Duo would go with me to work. I am using a combo system and this just might take the place of both. Space for me at work is at a premium so this would be a big bonus!

For baby gifts I take cloth diapers (we used them as burp rags) and add a good-sized piece of flannel on the bottom and sew it down and then add a piece of rick-rack on top of that (sewing it down as well) to jazz up a boring old white burp rag. I add some baby bath lotions and soap, etc.
Very cool binders. I definitely need one of these. Thanks for sharing!!

Like Jane, I’m very far removed from babies… Mine are 30, 30, and 34!! That said, I still remember one thing I had that they must still make because it was wonderful for my babies! It was a baby reclining bouncing seat–a cotton seat stretched over a metal frame. When the baby moved, the seat bounced gently. I still remember the looks on their faces when they realized the cause/effect and began to make it bounce on purpose! Wonderful fun, and soothing for the babies, too, who all eventually fell asleep, contented! I remember the other thing I liked about it is that it weighed next to nothing, so it was simple to move the baby around the house with me without having to take him out of the seat.
Thanks for the chance to win the Duo thingy. I could really use one of those! And thanks for having such an interesting blog, Andrea!

I feel like I am so far removed from babies, since my baby is 13! As a mom, I think my home-made boppy pillow was what I loved most as a new mom. It really helped me when I was breastfeeding to support my arms and the baby!
