Today is Dave’s birthday (he’s 31 — which is much older than me!) so in honor his birthday, I’m sharing one of HIS favorite organizing tools.

First of all, I do know that I’m extremely lucky to have a very clean, neat, and organized husband. And even though I take some of the credit for helping him to be more organized… I will also admit that he’s been neat and organized from the day I met him.

He’s actually so organized that he makes his own planner every year to use for school, coaching, and all his many other activities (looks like we are both quite particular about our planners!)

This summer, as he was preparing to head back to school, I got a package in the mail with a few Duo 7-Pocket Accordion File Binders.  I was immediately intrigued by the binders because they were essentially two organizing tools in one compact unit.

I showed Dave (who was equally impressed) and the next thing I knew, he had “stolen” the Duo binders from my side of the desk and proceeded to fill them with his homemade planner, school papers, student council information, coaching plans, etc.

My new organizing tools were gone — and I wasn’t going to get them back!

    This looks like it would be a good tool to use in keeping up with my personal tasks and business papers and information, as well as the scheduled tasks I have at my job. I carry around a computer bag in which I have loose papers in one of the pockets. Those papers could be placed in an organizer like this one, which would make it easier to find something when I’m looking for it.

    I would like to organize my home/paperwork! I could use the pockets for recipts and the binder part to keep track of things!

    I would use it for my PTA meetings. I am the vice president and I try to print health information for each meeting to pass out to the parents, so I would use it to hold the health packets and to stay organized with taking notes.

    What a smart organizer! I would definitely use it to organize my family’s recipes and meal plans. I have so many loose recipes printed from the internet or torn from magazines. This would be perfect for finally organizing that nest of papers! Love your blog.

    I love this organizer! I would use it to keep all of my son’s work from Kindergarten (and every year after that) so at the end of each school year I can make him a scrapbook of his work to show him how great he is 🙂

    That looks like the perfect thing to use for all our Doctor papers, bloodwork, medicince lists, etc. They would be put to really good use here for that and I’m sure many other things.

    Awesome giveaway, Andrea! This actually looks like a great solution to my DIY homemade planner needs, too. Love that it’s a two in one!

    Let’s see… Favorite product for babies and new moms? Hmmm… My only son just turned 4, so it’s been a while, but I always buy diapers for baby showers. I figure you can’t go wrong with those! Also, one piece outfits are awesome for baby. As for mommy, some coffee/tea, a candle, and some bubble bath she can use “in case of an emergency”. 😉

    I would LOVE this cool giveaway! I can think of millions of uses for it, but the most pressing (at this time of year) is a place to organize receipts, gift ideas, and birthday planning type stuff!
