Weekend Giveaway: Energizer Flameless Candles

Even though it’s not officially Fall just yet, I’m already excited about the cooler weather, colorful leaves, candy corn, pumpkin bars, soups, apple cider… and Nora’s first birthday.

But as I mentioned earlier this week, I’m planning to keep things super simple this year… no fancy decorations, no over-the-top menu plans, no “fluff”. Just a wreath on our front door (if we ever get our new front door ordered!) and a few festive candles.

However, if you’ve ever been around a 9 month old baby who is already walking… you know that traditional candles with an open flame might not be the best idea.

I had already thought through this dilemma and figured I would resort to scented plugins… until Nora discovered those too, and easily grabbed them and stuck them in her mouth!

The plugins are now unplugged and put away… maybe next year 🙂

Anyway, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to try out a new line of flameless wax candles from Energizer. Not only do these candles look and feel just like traditional wax candles, they also smell like real candles too!

My problem was solved.

I now have a variety of fall scented flameless candles scattered around our house. They look lovely, smell delicious, won’t burn down my house or poison my baby, and (since they operate on a timer) I don’t even need to remember to “blow them out”.

Talk about a simple decorating solution!

    Oh, and of course I “like” you on FB…and I’m sure I’d like you in real life too. You’d be my oh so organized friend whose home I’d love to visit, but I could never have you over because mine is so not that way…but you’d be kind and gentle and we could have clutter intervention days. It would be fun. 🙂

    I would have to say that my favorite scent isn’t really a scent but the feeling of that nip in the air…the one that makes you yearn to remember where you put the cozy sweaters when you were ambitious this spring and packed them away, because you wanted to be organized like that. 🙂
    Other than that, I’d have to say baking scents, especially when they are from someone else’s kitchen and they get to clean up the mess.

    Usually I love vanilla, maybe some Apple cinnamon, but I LOVE pumpkin spice scents in the fall… Yum!
