Weekend Giveaway: My Two Favorite Anolon Pans

When I got married, I received a really nice set of pots and pans… and over the past 6 1/2 years, I’ve used a few of those pans every week (if not every day). There are a few more that I use occasionally, and there’s one that  I’ve honestly NEVER used!

I like the idea of getting a complete set of pans (especially for wedding gifts and new home owners).  However, based on the way I cook, it’s smarter for me to spend a bit more money buying only the pans that I use every day — and then save cabinet space by not storing the ones I don’t use!

I’ve done a good job of paring down my pots and pans to a reasonable amount — and I honestly do use every pot and pan in my cabinet. I promise 🙂

However, if I could only pick 2 pans to cook with for the rest of my life, I would pick:

  1. a medium size covered sauce pan
  2. a medium size covered frying pan

Yes, I would definitely miss the rest of my pots and pans, but most of the food I cook could be made in these two pans (pasta, sauces, meat, grilled sandwiches, small batches of soup, etc)

Since I use these 2 pans all the time, the ones that came with my wedding set were starting to show quite a bit of wear and tear. So I was thrilled when Anolon offered to replace these two pans for me… and even more excited that they also want to share my two favorite pans as a giveaway 🙂

1. Anolon Nouvelle Copper Stainless Steel 9.5-inch “Everything Pan”

This pan really is an “everything pan”. You can use it for everything from grilled cheese sandwiches, to vegetable stir fry, chicken parmesan, casseroles, and more.

Personally, I LOVE that is doesn’t have a long handle like a traditional frying pan (because it takes up less room in my cabinet). I also love that it can go from the stovetop right into the oven — which means Dave has fewer dishes to wash 🙂

2. Anolon Chef Clad 3 Qt. Covered Saucepan

My old 3 qt. saucepan was totally shot because I used it so much.  And while I still plan to use my new Anolon sauce pan just as often, I think it should hold up a little better because it’s really heavy-duty.

I love that it has a tempered glass lid so I can see if my water is boiling (or if the potatoes are ready to boil over), I love that  it has a nice big handle that I can grab even with an oven mitt, and I love that it’s dishwasher safe!

    I have two favorites. My small cast iron skillet I use for homemade cornbread. It never gets washed because that is all I use it for. Also, my pizza stone. Every Wednesday is pizza night at our house. I always use my pizza stone. Thanks for the giveawa. 🙂

    I use the same exact size pans like these everyday as well, mine are still in o.k. shape.I would give them to my mom who could really use them!

    I have had my copper bottom Revere Ware for 20 years now, but I also love the “Le Creuset” knockoff red covered cast iron that Costco and Sam’s have now, and I have a Dutch oven and frying pan in that……..

    I love my cast iron skillet but when my arthritis flares it is too heavy too pick up, so I’d love a good quality alternative

    Med frying/sauce pan…though mine needs replaced with this type because I got non stick and is ruined already!

    I use my medium frying pan just about every day. It would be so convenient have a frying pan that could also be used in the oven!

    I use my 12 inch frying pan and my 8 qt pot every. single. night! I am in desperate need of new pans!!

    We have a square pan that is my favorite/go-to pan. It fits four pieces of bread nicely (for grilled cheese sandwiches or french toast), great for scrambled eggs, etc. These pans you have are very nice! Thanks for showing.

    I have a large, deep covered sauce pan that I couldn’t live without !!! I have tried any stainless steel pots yet so these would be a nice addition and a new adventure !!

    My *most used* would have to be my large frying pan. I like the ‘helper’ handle and the clear lid. But I’m shopping for cookware now, looking for a new favorite.

    I agree with you. I probably use my large skillet and medium saucepan the most.

    I like the med. sauce pan like you! Like you said it cooks everything…..pasta, sauce, veggies, soup, etc.
