Weekend Giveaway: My Two Favorite Anolon Pans

When I got married, I received a really nice set of pots and pans… and over the past 6 1/2 years, I’ve used a few of those pans every week (if not every day). There are a few more that I use occasionally, and there’s one that  I’ve honestly NEVER used!

I like the idea of getting a complete set of pans (especially for wedding gifts and new home owners).  However, based on the way I cook, it’s smarter for me to spend a bit more money buying only the pans that I use every day — and then save cabinet space by not storing the ones I don’t use!

I’ve done a good job of paring down my pots and pans to a reasonable amount — and I honestly do use every pot and pan in my cabinet. I promise 🙂

However, if I could only pick 2 pans to cook with for the rest of my life, I would pick:

  1. a medium size covered sauce pan
  2. a medium size covered frying pan

Yes, I would definitely miss the rest of my pots and pans, but most of the food I cook could be made in these two pans (pasta, sauces, meat, grilled sandwiches, small batches of soup, etc)

Since I use these 2 pans all the time, the ones that came with my wedding set were starting to show quite a bit of wear and tear. So I was thrilled when Anolon offered to replace these two pans for me… and even more excited that they also want to share my two favorite pans as a giveaway 🙂

1. Anolon Nouvelle Copper Stainless Steel 9.5-inch “Everything Pan”

This pan really is an “everything pan”. You can use it for everything from grilled cheese sandwiches, to vegetable stir fry, chicken parmesan, casseroles, and more.

Personally, I LOVE that is doesn’t have a long handle like a traditional frying pan (because it takes up less room in my cabinet). I also love that it can go from the stovetop right into the oven — which means Dave has fewer dishes to wash 🙂

2. Anolon Chef Clad 3 Qt. Covered Saucepan

My old 3 qt. saucepan was totally shot because I used it so much.  And while I still plan to use my new Anolon sauce pan just as often, I think it should hold up a little better because it’s really heavy-duty.

I love that it has a tempered glass lid so I can see if my water is boiling (or if the potatoes are ready to boil over), I love that  it has a nice big handle that I can grab even with an oven mitt, and I love that it’s dishwasher safe!

    I use a medium to large sauce pan and a large fry pan almost every day. I don’t know if I could live without them.

    I also love my medium sauce pan and skillet, but I couldn’t live without my stock pot and large skillet since I am cooking for my husband, myself and four teenagers. The quantity of food they eat always amazes me.

    A large saucepan is my favorite because I can use it to make all my boys’ favorites- pasta, soup, sauces, mashed potatoes… 🙂

    my cast iron round skillet.. use it for variety of things from pancakes for breakfast to grilled vegetables for a fajita.

    My small omelet pan because it makes it so much easier to make omelets or fried eggs when you have the right size pan.

    One of my favorite pans is a cast iron fry pan that belonged to my great aunt and uncle. They used it to make pancakes when we went to visit them. I use it to fry chicken, chops, potatoes…you name it. The pan is over fifty years old and has held up like iron (pun intended)!

    My favorite pan is an Ikea frying pan. Just the right size and fairly durable non stick surface.

    I’ve started using glass pots to cook with. I love them because they don’t have that horrible metallic screech when I stir.

    I have a Calphalon pan that I purchased a while back on Black Friday, it has to be my favorite so far due to the fact that even my husband who can never remember to not use metal hasn’t ruined this! Yet…

    My favorite go to pan has to be my large TownCraft skillet. The set was expensive back in 1980 but I have used the set everyday since and have had to replace one knob on a pot lid.
    I already have liked Simple Organized Living and went to Anolon and placed a like for that page.

    I would have to agree with most others. My medium sized sauce pan is my favorite.

    My favorite is a big old pot that used to be my Mother-in-law’s. It’s great for making a large batch of soup.

    I would have to say my med. sauce pan. I can use it for anything. I have had mine for over 16 years as a wedding gift and use all of them and have had to add a couple more due to canning and the family slowly eating more. I have just found your site so am new to all of this and hope I get more time to check all of it out and learn a few things on the way.

    Favorite pan? That is so HARD and depends on what I am making! I have way more pans than you but I honestly use them ALL! I guess my 4 qt 2 handle saucepan would be my favorite if I had to pick!
