Weekend Giveaway: My Two Favorite Anolon Pans

When I got married, I received a really nice set of pots and pans… and over the past 6 1/2 years, I’ve used a few of those pans every week (if not every day). There are a few more that I use occasionally, and there’s one that  I’ve honestly NEVER used!

I like the idea of getting a complete set of pans (especially for wedding gifts and new home owners).  However, based on the way I cook, it’s smarter for me to spend a bit more money buying only the pans that I use every day — and then save cabinet space by not storing the ones I don’t use!

I’ve done a good job of paring down my pots and pans to a reasonable amount — and I honestly do use every pot and pan in my cabinet. I promise 🙂

However, if I could only pick 2 pans to cook with for the rest of my life, I would pick:

  1. a medium size covered sauce pan
  2. a medium size covered frying pan

Yes, I would definitely miss the rest of my pots and pans, but most of the food I cook could be made in these two pans (pasta, sauces, meat, grilled sandwiches, small batches of soup, etc)

Since I use these 2 pans all the time, the ones that came with my wedding set were starting to show quite a bit of wear and tear. So I was thrilled when Anolon offered to replace these two pans for me… and even more excited that they also want to share my two favorite pans as a giveaway 🙂

1. Anolon Nouvelle Copper Stainless Steel 9.5-inch “Everything Pan”

This pan really is an “everything pan”. You can use it for everything from grilled cheese sandwiches, to vegetable stir fry, chicken parmesan, casseroles, and more.

Personally, I LOVE that is doesn’t have a long handle like a traditional frying pan (because it takes up less room in my cabinet). I also love that it can go from the stovetop right into the oven — which means Dave has fewer dishes to wash 🙂

2. Anolon Chef Clad 3 Qt. Covered Saucepan

My old 3 qt. saucepan was totally shot because I used it so much.  And while I still plan to use my new Anolon sauce pan just as often, I think it should hold up a little better because it’s really heavy-duty.

I love that it has a tempered glass lid so I can see if my water is boiling (or if the potatoes are ready to boil over), I love that  it has a nice big handle that I can grab even with an oven mitt, and I love that it’s dishwasher safe!

    My favorite pan is the brand Basics it is a good value, it is shaped like a wok with a clear glass cover and has non stick on it. I make everything from eggs to soup in it.

    I have a 2 qt sauce pan. I use this for most anything. We have had this thing since almost the time we were married. I use it for soup and mac & cheese and oatmeal and melting chocolates when baking.

    I don’t have a pan I LOVE – most of mine are hand me downs. But my most used is my 14″ skillet – it gets used all the time!

    I still use my 35 year old Farberware. Looks brand new. Would love to try some Anolon cookware and these sizes would be nice for this empty nester.

    My favorite pan is probably my non-stick small skillet. Great for eggs or a quick grilled cheese.

    I have several odds and ends pots and pans but I’ve tossed out everything but my stainless steel. It’s the best! (Once I got accustomed to using stainless steel only)

    I love and use my small skillet every day! I make eggs for myself in the morning. I’m like you, hardly a day goes by without me pulling out one of my pans or kettles. 🙂

    My favorite pan is currenlty out of comission. It is my frying pan that came with my pans I got when we got married. Who knew that plastic spatulas and really hot oil don’t mix 🙁

    I have a favorite saucepan that I bought from Marshalls- I have all different bright colors & I always grab for them. They are so easy to wash too!

    My medium skillet gets the most use… the one after that is my 3 qt so I would LOVE another one! The everything pan looks like a good size too!

    We have a roasting pan with lid that my mother-in-law gave us that was hers. I cherish that pan and we do use it a lot this time of year!

    I love a 4 quart dutch oven pan. Not to small but also not to big. Use with or without a lid. Anyway thanks for the chance at winning.

    My favorite pan is the large covered frying pan I have. Its similar to that one but I love the fact that this one doesn’t have a handle. So smart.
