Weekend Giveaway: My Two Favorite Anolon Pans

When I got married, I received a really nice set of pots and pans… and over the past 6 1/2 years, I’ve used a few of those pans every week (if not every day). There are a few more that I use occasionally, and there’s one that  I’ve honestly NEVER used!

I like the idea of getting a complete set of pans (especially for wedding gifts and new home owners).  However, based on the way I cook, it’s smarter for me to spend a bit more money buying only the pans that I use every day — and then save cabinet space by not storing the ones I don’t use!

I’ve done a good job of paring down my pots and pans to a reasonable amount — and I honestly do use every pot and pan in my cabinet. I promise 🙂

However, if I could only pick 2 pans to cook with for the rest of my life, I would pick:

  1. a medium size covered sauce pan
  2. a medium size covered frying pan

Yes, I would definitely miss the rest of my pots and pans, but most of the food I cook could be made in these two pans (pasta, sauces, meat, grilled sandwiches, small batches of soup, etc)

Since I use these 2 pans all the time, the ones that came with my wedding set were starting to show quite a bit of wear and tear. So I was thrilled when Anolon offered to replace these two pans for me… and even more excited that they also want to share my two favorite pans as a giveaway 🙂

1. Anolon Nouvelle Copper Stainless Steel 9.5-inch “Everything Pan”

This pan really is an “everything pan”. You can use it for everything from grilled cheese sandwiches, to vegetable stir fry, chicken parmesan, casseroles, and more.

Personally, I LOVE that is doesn’t have a long handle like a traditional frying pan (because it takes up less room in my cabinet). I also love that it can go from the stovetop right into the oven — which means Dave has fewer dishes to wash 🙂

2. Anolon Chef Clad 3 Qt. Covered Saucepan

My old 3 qt. saucepan was totally shot because I used it so much.  And while I still plan to use my new Anolon sauce pan just as often, I think it should hold up a little better because it’s really heavy-duty.

I love that it has a tempered glass lid so I can see if my water is boiling (or if the potatoes are ready to boil over), I love that  it has a nice big handle that I can grab even with an oven mitt, and I love that it’s dishwasher safe!

    My favorite pan is a cast iron large frying pan that was my grandfather’s, then my mother’s, now mine. Perfectly seasoned, distributes heat evenly, works beautifully.

    I like my 35 year old Farberware covered 10″ fry pan….yes from wedding gifts!
    My favorite way to clean it….fill with water and a little automatic dishwasher powder in it to soak. It still sparkles through all the wear.

    Favorite pan is my cast iron skillet 🙂 Can use it for virtually anything, even a weapon (tangled lol)

    My favorite pan is a small sauce pan, it has a glass lid and I use it for everything everyday!

    I would love to try these pans. My favorite is an all-clad, all purpose size for sauces and one pot meals. The nonstick coating is coming off our fry pan, so we need a new one.

    My favorite pan is my big stockpot. I use it for soups, sauces, etc. I use it a lot!

    After 37 years of marriage and using a variety of pans, I still don’t have a favorite. I have tried many brands but still haven’t found the pan I think ‘is the one’.

    My favorite pan is a small cast iron, but it bothers me that I can’t use soap and water to wash it!!!

    I always use a nonstick chefs pan for alot of different things. from scrambled eggs to browning meats. The Anolon pan look awesome. hope I can win them.

    A small frying pan my dad gave me years ago. I use it all the time to make eggs and quesadillas.

    I bought an iron skillet in the spring for making wheat tortillas. I have used it for cooking veggies and making veggie burgers. I think it has been getting the most use lately. Not so great for liquids though.

    My favorite pan is a heavy duty sauce pan with a heavy glass lid, but the lid has a built in strainer. So I love it for boiling eggs or cooking pasta since it is easy to drain.

    I have a hard time narrowing down to one favorite pan. Like you, these two pans would cover most of my cooking. However, the pot I really do love to use is my soup stock pot. I think it holds 6 quarts. When I make soup I love to make a big pot of it either to share, for a large gathering or to freeze jars of it for later. I don’t use it daily, but I sure do love to have it.
