UPDATE: This giveaway is now closed.
Congrats to Jaclyn (desiringtobetitus2@…)
I can still remember when we got our first few packages of newborn diapers several months before Nora was born.
They were SO tiny!
Fast-forward 14 months, and Nora is now big enough for size 4 diapers — which are absolutely huge compared to those tiny newborn diapers!
Although my mom and I are always on the look-out for fabulous diapers deals, I realize that they can still be quite expensive. So I’m super excited to share a great offer from Pampers and Target today.
Pampers is launching their Swaddlers diapers in sizes 4 and 5 at Target stores… and as a special promotion, Target stores are offering a free $20 Target gift card to anyone who purchases 2 packages of Pampers Swaddlers, Cruisers, or Baby Dry Economy Packs between January 27 and February 2, 2013!
But that’s not all…
I also have a fun Pampers / Target giveaway only for Simple Organized Living readers!

On a restaurant’s tiny bathroom counter. I really hate to do it on their floor. Though once he was old enough if there isn’t a changing table I have him stand. Easier to do with disposable than cloth of course…

With my first baby, years ago, in the back of our two-door Honda Civic in the middle of a blizzard while my husband pumped gas. Talk about a tight squeeze!

I have Simple Organized Living on my RSS feed. The weirdest place I have changed a diaper is sitting baby on my lap on a toilet in a public bathroom. There was no diaper changing table!!!!!
Tamra says
I have changed my baby on my lap…while I was sitting on the toilet. I know it sounds awful, but it wasn’t that bad after I sanitized the toilet seat and everything. There was no changing table in the restroom, and I had my two other children waiting on me. It was also better than putting him the floor. I should also throw in the fact that my son is 15 months old and has NEVER worn anything other than Pampers…not even once. I am super excited to find out today that they are making Swaddlers in 4s and 5s, because I really miss those soft things!!

The craziest place I have ever changed a diaper isn’t crazy itself – it was a restaurant bathroom counter – the crazy part was that my 3 month old baby girl blew out of her diaper while we were having dinner and I had to strip her down in the public bathroom, give her a bath in the sink there (ick!!) and then put a clean diaper on and wrap her in a blanket for the rest of the time since her clothes were dirty and toxic smelling ๐ – Quite an experience for a 1st time mom!

In their stroller.

On the toilet seat in an airplane because it wasn’t equipped with a changing table!

Not super crazy, but changing the baby in the front seat of the car is always a juggling adventure.

The craziest place I’ve ever changed my baby’s diaper was in the airport on a ten minute layover. I was by myself trying to juggle him and two bags and I didn’t have time to find a bathroom, so I found the most vacant area I could and changed him in my lap.

Trying to get a toddler’s diaper changed while they were standing up in an airplane bathroom…so not fun!

I’ve only been changing diapers for 4 months but so far the craziest spot has been in the back seat of our car after being in a car accident

In an airplane with my child in my lap. Turbulence was so bad no one was allowed to get up!
At first opportunity though I washed my hands. ๐

I am pregnant with baby # 1, and have yet to EVER change a diaper, lol.
Sarah C says
We were on vacation and eating at a restaurant quite a long walk away from our car. Our 3 month old desperately needed a diaper change and I didn’t want to wait because I knew her diaper rash would flare up. The small restaurant had no changing table and only a very tiny restroom… so I asked the waitress if we could change our baby’s diaper in the booth. Luckily we were in the back corner of the restaurant so we didn’t ruin anyone’s appetite!

I’m trying to think of the awfulest place, but I’ve done everywhere from on my lap, to the playground, to on planes (that was probably the worst because it was small and didn’t have a changing table, so my son was on the lid of the toilet bouncing around while the plane was going through turbulence but he’d exploded and it had to be done).

I coached volleyball…during a game, my son was inconsolable, so I held him behind the bench. And, wouldn’t you know it…had to duck down during a timeout and take care of the diaper ๐

Trunk of the car…multiple times because my daughter hates the changing tables out in public!
