UPDATE: This giveaway is now closed.
Congrats to Jaclyn (desiringtobetitus2@…)
I can still remember when we got our first few packages of newborn diapers several months before Nora was born.
They were SO tiny!
Fast-forward 14 months, and Nora is now big enough for size 4 diapers — which are absolutely huge compared to those tiny newborn diapers!
Although my mom and I are always on the look-out for fabulous diapers deals, I realize that they can still be quite expensive. So I’m super excited to share a great offer from Pampers and Target today.
Pampers is launching their Swaddlers diapers in sizes 4 and 5 at Target stores… and as a special promotion, Target stores are offering a free $20 Target gift card to anyone who purchases 2 packages of Pampers Swaddlers, Cruisers, or Baby Dry Economy Packs between January 27 and February 2, 2013!
But that’s not all…
I also have a fun Pampers / Target giveaway only for Simple Organized Living readers!

wow…it was a while ago that my son was in diapers (and it’ll be a while before the baby inside now needs size 4 but that’s cool!) Let’s see…we changed diapers on the side of the road, on a tiny sink in a public restroom that had no changing table, the pew at a church…it had NO nursery!, so many crazy places!!

We had made a trip to India, going through a cluster of villages on a bullock cart when there was a ‘situation.’ Battling the bumpy ride, I sat on lotus posture, balanced my eight-month-old on my lap and changed the diaper, while my husband clasped her hands to keep her steady. When we were done, we both were sweating profusely as a result of intense hard work and Indian summer. (Yes, I’ve begun to subscribe to your posts through email.).

If you think the newborn size diapers are tiny, you should see the preemie sized ones we had for our babies back in 1982 and 85. (Some older nurses told me that before there were disposable diapers that in the newborn nursery they cut down cloth diapers for preemies and then cut “leg” openings in sandwich bags to use as plastic pants. We have come a long way baby!)

In a booth at a resturant, I was trying really hard to hide and my son was trying really hard to roll off the bench. (the restrooms were gross and no counter/changing station.)

Most unusual place was on my husband’s tractor when we rode with him one day. Challenging, for sure!

On the back of the front seat of the car in a car wash.

Where have I NOT changed a baby diaper? ha ha. I can’t think of a particularly crazy place, but I’ve had to use countertops in public restrooms before when they didn’t have changing station. Seriously, what type of business doesn’t put a changing station in their restroom? (Probably owners who haven’t had kids!)

The craziest place I’ve ever changed a diaper is in a patient’s Emergency Room! It wasn’t a pediatric area, so no changing stations!

Changed my boys on my lap in a bathroom stall when there was no changing station. Not so easy to stay perched with a wiggling, dirty diapered son… ๐

The craziest place I changed a diaper was the floor of a Pizza Hut bathroom. They had NO changing table.

Sweet! Size 4 and 5 — I remember being distinctly bummed (no pun intended) when my little guy grew out of the Swaddler diapers. Now, I’ve got a chance to put him back IN them! Thanks for the opportunity

The craziest place was on the lay away counter at Wal-Mart. There wasn’t a changing station available. Also, our library doesn’t have anywhere to change a diaper and I’ve had to use their floor to change a diaper.
