Since many people know how frugal I am, it was often assumed that Dave and I would use cloth diapers for our babies.
However, when I found out I was pregnant with Nora, I immediately started stocking up on disposable diapers and wipes using various coupons, rebates, store rewards, sales, and by playing the “drugstore game”.
Although I liked the idea of saving the environment with cloth diapers, I knew I didn’t want to use them myself because laundry is one of my least favorite household chores. I also have an extremely sensitive nose and the idea of keeping poopy diapers lying around in the house until I washed them was just way too much for me. Plus, Dave was not on board with cloth diapers and was quite emphatic that we would use disposable diapers.
So thanks to my (and my mom’s) bargain hunting skills, it didn’t take long to amass quite a supply of disposable diapers. In fact, by the time Nora was born, we had at least 6-8 months worth of diapers for hardly any out-of-pocket cost!
I used mostly Huggies and Pampers diapers as those were often the best deals when I factored in the coupons and rebates. Plus, I got a whole bunch of birthday and Christmas gifts for the kids using the Huggies and Pampers rewards programs!
When I found out I was pregnant with Simon, the diaper deals and coupons were starting to dry up (at least in my area). I thought about trying cloth diapers… and even found an amazing deal on some used ones via Craigslist. However, I just couldn’t bare the thought of how much additional laundry it would create and how much time it would potentially take up.
I ended up using our local store brand of diapers as they were much cheaper (since I no longer had coupons for the national brands) and seemed to work just as well, in my opinion.
However, a few months after Simon was born, I was introduced to the Seventh Generation brand diapers and wipes — and I’ve never looked back!
They seem to be the PERFECT mix of eco-friendly + conveniently disposable and we love them!
Before Nora decided she wanted to sleep in her “big girl undies” she was using the Seventh Generation brand of training pants at night.
Simon has been wearing Seventh Generation diapers since he was about 3 or 4 months old, and aside from the diapers we got from the hospital, James has been in Seventh Generation diapers from the beginning!
I’ve also been including a couple packages of the Seventh Generation wipes with any baby gifts I’ve given over the past year because I REALLY like them! They are super soft, very thick, and I can often get by with just using one wipe (even for bigger messes!)
Plus, since the Seventh Generation diapers and wipes are “free and clear” they don’t have any harsh chemicals, fumes, or fragrances that could irritate baby’s skin and cause diaper rash.
The best part for me is that I can order Seventh Generation diapers and wipes through ePantry.com!
The fact that I can now get an eco-friendly brand of diapers and wipes delivered right to my doorstep every month is more than fabulous for me. Not only do I NOT need to shop for the diapers and wipes, I rarely even need to think about diapers and wipes because I know they are coming every month. ePantry even makes sure to send a larger size of diapers as the months go on and as my kids grow!
Since I have been using and loving the Seventh Generation brand of diapers and wipes for well over a year now, I was thrilled when ePantry asked if I’d like to offer my readers a super special discount deal on their Seventh Generation diapers and wipes!!
I couldn’t respond fast enough — and of course, my answer was YES!!
The Amazing Diaper Deal!!
ONLY $29.00 for 5 packages of Seventh Generation diapers, 2 packages of Seventh Generation wipes, and a travel size Grove hand sanitizer that smells absolutely amazing!
The best part is that this offer is available for BOTH new and current ePantry customers!!
In case you’re trying to quickly do the math, that breaks down to roughly $0.12 – $0.24 per diaper for the first month (depending on the size) which is considerably less than the Amazon.com Subscribe & Save price!
After the first month, the bundle price goes up to $55.00 per month — but that’s still less than you’ll find these diapers in any store (and even on Amazon.com)!
Introductory Bundle = $29
- 5 packages of diapers (count varies by size)
- 2 packages of 64 wipes
- 1 Grove travel size hand sanitizer
Each month after the first month = $55
- 5 packages of diapers (count varies by size)
- 2 packages of 64 wipes
- 1 Grove travel size hand sanitizer
I know many of you will eagerly snatch up this amazing deal for yourself. However, even if you don’t have kids in diapers, this would be a fabulous baby gift to any expecting mom — or even a way to very frugally donate diapers and wipes to a local church or charity (they are often in need of these baby items).
And if you currently use cloth diapers, I would still encourage you to jump on this deal — after all, you could always use them for traveling!
Of course, you can always sign up for the first month and cancel if you don’t want to continue with the additional monthly shipments — but when you think about how much time and energy you could save by having your diapers and wipes delivered right to your doorstep each month (and be eco-friendly in the process) I have a feeling you’ll want to stick with it!

Do you know that the link for current customers for the $29 bundle still works?! I just used it and am ecstatic to try these diapers out! ๐
Andrea says
wow — that’s awesome! Glad you go the deal!!
Carole says
I’m trying to link to this deal as a current e pantry customer, but the page isn’t loading for me either and I’ve tried to do this for several days. Is there another way I can access this deal once I log onto my account on e pantry?
Andrea says
Sorry Carole, I have no idea why it’s not working for you. My best suggestion would simply be to contact the ePantry customer support. They are fabulous and I’m positive they will get it all situated for you so you can get this deal.
Sherry says
Just ordered my bundle. Thanks! Any chance you’ll be doing an updated diaper bag post. I would love to hear what you pack for 3 kiddos.
Andrea says
yay — glad you got the deal! I don’t have plans for doing an updated diaper bag post — but that’s a good idea. I’ll put it on my list ๐
Becca says
I tried this as an existing customer and couldn’t get the discount to work. Any suggestions?
Andrea says
Hey Becca, the only thing I can think of is that it won’t work if you’ve already purchased a $29 bundle from another blog (I know MoneySavingMom.com offered this deal a month ago). Otherwise, it should work. If it’s not working, I’d suggest contacting the ePantry customer service and I’m positive they will fix it immediately for you. They have excellent customer service ๐
JJ says
Hey, Andrea! Do you know if you can choose multiple diaper sizes for the bundle? Also, if you buy the introductory bundle xare you committing to future bundle purchases? If so, how many? Thank you so much! I have 3 kids in diapers, so I have to shop carefully!
Andrea says
I believe the bundle is all the same size diapers (at least that’s how I’ve always done it). And you may cancel at any time so you are not locked in to future purchases ๐
JJ says
I tried to order from my laptop and phone, and both times the website wouldn’t work. Hopefully it worked for others!
Andrea says
hmmm… I’m not sure what to say. Sorry it’s not working!
If you contact ePantry, I’m positive they will get it figured out for you. Here is their customer support email: community@epantry.com

I love cloth diapers! We use disposables at night though.. I’ve never minded laundry so it’s not a big deal for me.. I wash MWF and just throw them in the washer with some soap then put ’em on the line, then done! It’s the putting them away I’ve always had trouble with… they always just sit on the rocking chair! Lol

Andrea, I had to comment and tell you how perfect the timing of this post was ๐ We just had our first ultrasound for our first baby yesterday and got to hear the heartbeat. I am only 7 weeks so we aren’t telling people just yet, so our little celebration was ordering this bundle when we got home from our appointment! We are very practical people, a lot like you and Dave, so this was really exciting for us and I can’t wait to have a few baby things in the house ๐ Thank you so much for this!
Andrea says
Yay!! Congrats Cara!
Hope you enjoy your very first baby things — and also the fun of telling your friends and family when you’re ready! Cheers to a healthy pregnancy!
Pascale says
Thank you Andrea. I appreciate you telling me why you love Michigan. I know most people here love the 4 seasons. I love them too, but could do without the humidity.
I agree with Sam who appreciates your blog and the fact that you only promote products that you use. I subscribed to epantry after reading your blog and have been using them ever since. They provide amazing service and they’re all so nice to chat with on the phone.
Andrea says
Thanks again Pascale! And thanks for sharing your positive experience with ePantry — I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with them too!
Sam says
Hi Andrea
I’m a loyal Canadian reader. Thanks so much for a well written and honest blog. I like that you don’t promote a bunch of products that you don’t actually use.
I’m interested in this bundle, but it seems epantry doesn’t ship to Canada…
Andrea says
I just sent an email to their customer service to see if it will ship to Canada. I’ll let you know what I find out.
And yes, I don’t promote any products unless I actually use them!
Andrea says
I just heard back from their customer service and unfortunately they don’t ship to Canada. So sorry, I honestly didn’t realize that when I was planning to offer this deal.
Sam says
Thanks for looking into that Andrea.
I’ll see if I can order that brand otherwise.
Have a great night!
Sue says
WOULD HAVE LOVED TO HAVE USED CHEAPER DIAPERS !! but my kids could not wear anything but Pampers !!!!!!!!
Rykki Neale says
Great deal. Thank you, Andrea! Just a quick question… Our baby has not arrived yet and I am debating whether to get the intro pack with Newborn or Stage 1 sized diapers. It seems like our first baby outgrew the newborn diapers very quickly. And I noticed that Seventh Generation’s size guide says Newborn up to 10 pounds and Stage 1 for up to 14 pounds (also without a minimum weight). Based on your experience using these for a newborn, would you recommend getting a newborn pack or going ahead and getting the Stage 1’s instead? Thanks!
Andrea says
Yes Rykki –this is a great deal (and congrats on your soon-to-be-baby!)
I did get 1 package of newborn diapers, and it ended up working out well since James was REALLY tiny compared to my other two kids (7lbs. 5 oz) However, if you have big babies, stage 1 should be fine… and I like that you get more with the stage 1 ๐
Pascale says
Thank you for replying to my comments Andrea and thank you for your wisdom and encouragement.
We love many things about Michigan, but we miss the health care and education in Canada. In Canada, a university degree is much less costly than in the US and in Europe it’s even less costly than it is in Canada.
Heath care is also provided without any in network or co-pay issues. We simply pay more taxes all together and then the burden doesn’t fall on only one individual.
And despite what many people believe, we don’t have a long waiting time for every single need/procedure. That’s probably why people who live right next to the Canadian border choose to get medical care in Canada.
Do you have any tips regarding that? And please do share what you love about Michigan. I always love hearing what people like about their state or city.
Thanks Andrea.
Andrea says
Ah yes, we are jealous of our Canadian friend’s health care and full year of maternity leave ๐
I don’t have any great words of wisdom for you — except to get a job with good insurance and try to stay healthy (easier said than done, right!)
As far as my favorite party of living in Michigan…. the 4 distinct seasons is definitely at the top of my list, along with Lake Michigan, and of course, the fact that almost all our friends and family also live here!
Amy B says
Thanks for the deal! I use cloth during the day, but disposables are handy for nights and traveling!
Andrea says
Yes, we have many friends and family who use cloth — but almost all of them still use some disposable for traveling! Enjoy the bundle deal!
Pascale says
Hi Andrea,
I just want to say how much I admire you & the way you see things. I know my comment isn’t related to your post, but I still felt the need to say how much I appreciate reading your posts every day.
I’m not a mom, but I read your blog for inspiration and ideas and I love how practical your tips are. Last fall, we were transferred from Canada to Michigan and we now own a house for the very first time so I glean things from you that I can apply to my own surroundings.
I also love your approach to quantity vs quality. My husband is like that and I would like to be more like that too. Perfectionism often leads to paralysis. I’ve been ill for over 10 years now and it’s a struggle to have the energy to maintain a home.
Thanks for being who you are and for sharing it with us.
Andrea says
wow! Thanks so much Pascale! I really appreciate your kind words.
Oh, and yay for living in Michigan! I hope you love it here as much as we do!!
Also, don’t be too hard on yourself. True perfectionism is actually considered a “disability” and isn’t just something you can change with the flip of a switch. It’s not even necessarily something you have 100% control over… so any change that happens will be gradual for sure. Just keep working at it!
Rebekah says
How have you found these run size-wise? My daughter wears a 5 in Luvs, but I am interested in trying 7th Generation. She has very sensitive skin (seems to be no rhyme or reason), and this might be a better diaper for her.
Andrea says
They are quite true to size in my opinion. Definitely not ‘big’ though. Simon wears one size up at night time, but the rest of the day, he’s in his normal size. James too.
I will say that the training pants (a.k.a. pull ups) seem to run a tad small. Nora always wore a size up in those and she’s fairly thin.
Ashley says
Hey Andrea–
I’m trying to grab this deal, but ePantry’s page won’t load when I click on the link…. Thanks for offering this to your readers!
Andrea says
hmm… that’s weird, it’s working fine for me. maybe try in a bit, and let me know what happens. sorry!
Laura says
Ditto – it’s not working for me, either! ๐ I’m going to try a different browser and see if that works.
Maria says
I’ve tried two browsers and I’m not getting anywhere either. It gets stuck loading.
Andrea says
So sorry Maria! The people at ePantry are looking into what might be causing this — but neither they nor I have been able to replicate your issues. The ePantry site and the links in my blog are working just fine for me using Chrome and Safari. Hopefully we’ll figure it out soon — and the deal is open for a full week so you can always try coming back tomorrow (or maybe using a different computer??)
Maria F. says
Hi there! This is Maria from ePantry Community Support! Do you mind letting me know which browser you are using and if you have made a purchase with us before? I am investigating what could be happening here! You can email me at community@epantry.com or reply here!
Ashley says
Hi Maria, I sent an email with the requested details yesterday. Thanks for looking into this!
Ashley says
I was just at a computer with FireFox and the link worked just fine

Andrea,
Are these deliveries made via UPS, FedEx, or USPS? We live way out in the country, and a lot of times, these really neat deliveries services don’t work for us, because certain companies won’t deliver to us, meaning I have to make an extra trip to town to the post office to retrieve a package….
Thanks!
Stacey B.

Hi Stacie! This is Maria from ePantry Community Support! We ship FedEx and USPS:) Let us know how we can help you at community@epantry.com

Oh cloth diapers…I think you either love them or dispise them ๐ I love them but only because I found a brand that is super easy to use (mimics a disposable) and I have a simple wash routine. That is a fabulous deal on those diapers. We use disposables at night. How do they hold up to overnight wetness??
Andrea says
wow — you used cloth for all 5? And I’m assuming you had more than one in diapers at a time right?
Did your cloth diapers hold up through #5 or did you need to buy more? everyone who I know had to buy more after the 2nd baby.
As for the Seventh Generation, they hold up pretty well at night. Simon needs to wear a size bigger at night, but the regular size is fine for James.
Emily says
Excellent! Thanks for the info. I started using cloth with my third. My husband was never into cloth diapers but since I do pretty much all the diaper changes he agreed. And it has definitely saved us money! Big investment up front but over time has paid off (and he likes them now :)) We use disposables for vacations and at night. I changed brands of cloth with my fourth (had two in diapers at that point and my original brand was cheap and not holding up well) I bought more of the new brand when #5 arrived to have enough for two kiddos in cloth. I feel like they have held up extremely well. The diapers I bought with my fourth baby are still in great condition and should last through a few kiddos. ๐
Amy says
Hi Emily,
What brand are you using now? I started with Bumgenius and was not happy with them. I use Flip covers with prefolds and that works really well for us. The flips are starting to wear down now after years of use and I am about to order more for baby #3. But…..I am always curious to hear what works well for other mamas! Thanks ๐
PS…I also used disposables for years at night but finally switched over to cloth when I discovered fleece. I just shoved a doubler in the prefold, cut some rectangles out of a ratty fleece shirt I hated, and put that next to baby’s skin to keep them feeling dry. Works so well!
Emily says
Hi Amy,
We use blueberry simplex diapers. A bit pricey but the quality is excellent! I usually wait til one of the online diaper shops have double or triple reward point sales and then stock up so I can use the points for gift cards to buy more diapers. ๐ Thanks for the tip on fleece. I’ve used it as a liner before but never tried it overnight. I’ll have to try that one too!
